The Certificate III in Hairdressing is designed as a standard entry level for anyone contemplating working in the hairdressing industry. The successful completion of your studies will give you the competitive edge and opportunities to work in the various facets of the hairdressing industry e.g. salon hairdresser, session styling and photographic work. entry requirements 16 years of age & the ability to read, write & communicate in English. delivery method blended delivery (face to face group training sessions, including practical and theory, plus home-study). Training sessions will be conducted at the Heading Out Hairdressing Academy in Fitzroy. duration 12 months or less depending on your eligibility for Recognised Prior Learning what you will learn 29 units of competency need to be completed to gain this qualification. Of these units 23 are core units and 6 are elective units. If you are thinking of a career in hairdressing, we invite you to come and have a talk to us first! Open Monday to Friday 9am - 6pm, you can drop in for a tour of the Heading Out Hairdressing Academy and meet our friendly teachers and students. We also have information sessions at night so you can come along with a family member or a friend to learn all about the courses and the work a hairdressers does. There are so many great reasons for choosing hairdressing as a career. As a fully qualified hairdresser you can work in salons all over Australia in full time and part time positions, as well as work overseas and in associated industries like fashion magazines, television and event production. Hairdressing is a great choice for people looking for a job that is creative and flexible. Its a job you can do at any age, anywhere.
