The signal from the transmitter is then sent to XI-2711 which is a Gas Analyzer Display. The pressure transmitter is mainly for indicating purpose to determine the pressure of the production from Serai Subsea wells. d) The relevant P&ID drawing, instrument loop/wiring drawing & instrument specification.

Refer to attached P&ID drawing.

2. Evidence of zero and calibration check on the Pressure transmitter;

a) Details of pre-calibration activities and their importance: i. ii. iii. iv. v. vi. vii. Apply permit-to-work system prior to executing the job. Prepare JHA to identify hazard at the work place. Record the data about the level transmitter before preceding the job. Inform CRO that the transmitter will be under calibration. System is operating under High Pressure. Precaution is taken by ensuring proper isolation and handle tubing removal and fitting with extra care. Make sure the signal from transmitter is isolated before carrying out calibration work. Apply Maintenance Mode where applicable. Prepare all the proper tools and equipments: Dead Weight Pressure Tester Manufacturer: AMETEK Serial No.: 5904

375 HART Communicator Anti-Tamper Keys 6 in Adjustable Spanner Canvas Rags Flexible Tubing

b) Pressure Transmitter Calibration Procedures: i. Close all the isolation valves (V1) and open the vent valve (V2) on the manifold (Refer to the diagram). Isolation Valves - to isolate the signal (pressure) from the process line Vent Valve - to bleed-off the trapped medium (pressure) after normalization for more accurate measurement Setup the test equipment and ensure proper leveling and balancing. Connect the dead weight tester to the impulse line. Ensure correct fitting is used. Ensure all isolation valves are properly aligned. The calibration is done by applying known pressure to the PT transmitter.

Known pressure is applied to the transmitter by means of a dead weight tester. The transmitter is ranged from 0 to 100% with corresponding output signal 4 20 mA. In this way the validation takes into account current to voltages and digital to analog conversions. Step A Rising pressure: 0, 25, 50, 75, 100, 105% of Transmitter span. Step B Falling pressure: 105, 100, 75, 50, 25, 0% of Transmitter span. Test pressure is injected into common impulse line Apply maximum pressure range and check for leak. Perform validation check, Step A and B The complete signal loop is validated to within the required accuracy limit Result need to be recorded into Calibration Datasheet. If As Found values are within specification, the validation check is completed. This is As Found/As Left PASS reading (no adjustment made). If As Found values are out of specification, perform adjustment and repeat steps x - xi. Perform the adjustments by using the HART Communicator. Input the range and span then calibrate the zero trim, upper and lower sensor trim. If this reading within limit (after adjustment), record reading and identify these As Left PASS. Disconnect the dead weight tester. Normalize and remove maintenance mode where applicable. Reinstate the transmitter. Check and verify live reading. Close the PTW and handover to the operation.

d) The procedure and the purpose for isolating the pressure transmitter from the process, i.e. the use of the transmitter isolation manifold. Isolation procedures: - Refer to question 2 Isolation purpose: - Is to isolate the signal (pressure) from process line to prevent process interruption during calibration. The use of transmitter isolation manifold: The isolation manifold installed with pressure transmitter PT-602 has one isolation valve and one vent valve Isolation Valves - to isolate the signal (pressure) from the process line Vent Valves - to bleed-off the trapped medium (pressure) after normalization for more accurate measurement

e) Complete calibration report form for the pressure transmitter specifying the accuracy of the transmitter against the manufacturers recommendation. Refer to attached calibration certificate. 3. Answers of the followings;

a) If the pressure transmitter reading is zero (i.e. 0 Barg or 0 mA), explain what is the problem of the transmitter and what remedial action would you take? System circuit opened, check the signal cable continuity No power supply, check the supply voltage Check the current change of the system loop circuit manually using multimeter If no response to the current change of the multimeter, the transmitter is fault, replace new transmitter. b) A pressure transmitter is reported to give a zero bar reading on the controller and is not responding to actual process pressure change, as an operation technician, what would you do to determine the fault? What is your recommended solution? Check the voltage across the signal cable and ensure air supply is sufficient as required. If both present normally, meaning the transmitter is faulty, replace a new transmitter. Compiled by: _________________ (Mark Anthony Lim) Reviewed By: _______________ (Chua Geok Chai)
