RUTHS SITUATION
She needs to decide pronto. There was no one to help her decideno support system available for her. She is in the state of mourning in the time of decision making.

Pre-conditions to Ruths decision to join Naomi Ruth, upon being included in the family of
Elimelech, came to know God, and ACKNOWLEDGED Him as her own God. She learned to love God dearly, and extended this love to her new family. Her love did not perish even in the time of loss (of her husband). Her love developed into a deep level of commitment to her mother-in-law. v.16 This love made her decide to leave her land and join Naomi in a land that is different from

Ruth vs. Lot

Both have the reason to leave. Ruth did not look at the things that the foreign land may give her, but Lot looked at the benefits that he could gain in choosing what he thought was the best option. Ruths decision was driven by love and not by selfish motives, while Lots motive for choosing the place was because of its beauty. (Gen. 13:10)

Just like Ruth, WE Christians should: acknowledge his power and Love God and
authority over us.
By loving God, we will be able to determine what our heart desires, a heart that is yielded to the will of the Father.

Be able to understand that everything happens for Gods plan and purpose. (Isa. 55:10-11)
In Ruths case, her decision to join Naomi paved the way for the Prophecy of Salvation to take place.

Isa. 55:10-11 10As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, 11 so is my word that goes out from my mouth, it will not return to me empty but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

Not use our physical eyes in deciding, but rather depend and trust in what God can do in our lives. Choose what you think is according to the will of God.

8For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. 9 As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts. 10As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, 11 so is my word that goes out from my mouth, it will not return to me empty but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.12 You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.13 Instead of the thornbush will grow the pine tree, and instead of briers the myrtle will grow. This will be for the Lords renown, which will not be destroyed. Isaiah 55:8-13
