Japan and Korea Meet to Talk Peace

Following military clashes in the Pacific last week, Japanese and Korean delegations are meeting to seek peace. The two sides choose Seattle as a neutral meeting ground with US and UN negotiators. Both sides blame the other for starting the latest round of hostilities but the actual facts are disputed. The UN has convinced both nations to stand down from open warfare. Report say that both the Korean and Japanese militaries remain on alert. The ambassadors will be arriving under heavy guard and meeting a secure location. The UN has offered to send an observation force to monitor the situation but the terms of its deployment are still being negotiated.

Seattle Hosts MATRIXCon

Thousands of computer and matrix professionals descend on Seattle for the 11th annual MATRIXCon starting on Thursday. MATRIXCon has become Seattles premier technological forum and showcase. More than 1,200 companies and universities will be hosting booths and displays. The main areas of MATRIXCon are accessible to convention guests only. Daily and full event tickets are available. The MATRIXCon Technology Park on the SIT Commons is open to all. The Technology Park includes hands on access to new technology, introductory seminars and more for the entire family and is jointly sponsored by the Seattle Metroplex, Fuchi and the SIT. USAF Airship New York Visits Seattle

The new flying command post of the USAF, the Airship New York arrives on 13th to showoff this pinnacle of American engineering. The New York will be in Seattle for a week and a limited number of tours will be available for to the public. The price of the New York is classified but is rumored to exceed $1.3 billion and it will acquire the last part of its compliment of advanced drones from Federated-Boeing.

In preparation for the exhibition, the museums security system has been fully overhauled and upgraded. The Classics of the Renaissance opens with a gala reception on Saturday.

US Trade Numbers Up
With the reintegration of California into the US, exports have increased and profits are up for most US firms. Trade with the NAN have seen the greatest increases this year with exports to increasing by 7.1% and imports from increasing by 5.3%. We are all Americans, said Senator Yee (D-CA), and I am proud that my state has taken the lead in trade with the NAN. The only disappointment in the numbers was the essential flat trade numbers with Japan. Exports and import both increasing a negligible .2%.

Seattle Stress plays the Madrid Phalanx at home

The 3rd ranked Seattle Stress plays the 14th rated Phalanx at the Ares OmniDome downtown on Wens. The Phalanx have recently recruited a new set of core strikers which are expected to play for the first time at Premier level. The last time these two teams met it ended in a 1-1 tie and neither coach is willing to settle for such a result this time.
