A/T PROCEDURE OF OCB 283 VERSION R.23

1. SCOPE: This engineering instruction deals with the Acceptance procedure of OCB 283 of R.23 version. The A/T procedure as prescribed for R22 version of OCB 283 is followed with the help of A/T manuals 3-1-3 for Local Exchange and 3-1-6 for TAX Exchange. The additional features introduced in R.23 version are tested as described in the following paras. 2.0 2.1 TESTING PROCEDURE: Hardware Changes:

Hardware changes as additional feature in R.23 version of OCB 283 exchanges are as follows. ACV11 - Rear side of the SMM stations terminal bus. 4Gb Disk - It is located in ACDDG1AC Card. ACUTR5AB - It replaces the ACUTR5 in all SM stations. ACHIL3 - It is located in SMA stations. 2.2 (i) Analogue subscriber facilities: CLIP Verifications:

Test procedure- Two subscribers A and B are created. Sub B is given CLIP facility by giving TY=DTMF, CAT =DIPA in the modification command ABOMO. The subscriber B is fitted with caller ID attachment. Make a call from A to B. On receipt of ring the caller ID is displayed in B instrument. (ii) CLIR:

Subscriber is A is modified by giving CAT = SIDR in ABOMO command. Again make a call from A to B, on receipt of ring, the caller ID is not displayed on B instrument. To override CLIR, the called subscriber(B sub.) is given CAT=OYSD. Make a call from A to B. On receipt of ring the Caller ID is displayed even though the A subscriber (caller) is having CLIR facility.

Note: Vide BSNL letter No. 19-29/97-PHM (Pt) Dated 23-10-2001 CLIR facility to Analog subscribers in any type of exchange is deferred. It is to be verified that CLIR facility is not provided to analog subscriber in any type of exchange. 2.3 (i) ISDN Subscribers Supplementary Services: Dynamic Call Barring:

Procedure is same as for Analogue subscriber's SRC facility. 2.4 Multi cartridge back up

Procedure for multi cartridge backup is given below(i) (ii) Place 1.2 GB cartridge in the streamer. Check the active sub system (SMM) in ES and the standby system in ESRE. SMIN: AM=SMM; (iii) Check from PCWAM terminal by using the command ISTEQP, the streamer and the streamer controller units are in operation. Streamer Name: SMR C0C0 Streamer controller Name : CSMR13D (iv) (v) (vi) Check the secured secondary memory in NOT DEGRADED state by using WAM command ISTMSS Halt the OMC using the command CTIAR from any CV. From PCTWAM give the following command Select SAVDPX from the main Menu DKDEVNAM STDEVGRP STDEVPRT : : : DK A0A0 AKI PSMR

DR1 parameters is to be given on routings (ACH) belonging to CCS7 circuit groups in Tandem/Transit switches in the network to avoid no CLI condition or call failures in the networks due to unavailability of CLI 2.6 New Call handling architecture:

It is inbuilt of the system. No procedure for verification. 2.7 V5.2 Interface:

At present not implemented. For future use only. 2.8 Extended translation Resources :

It is only modifications in the software i.e. increase of file size etc. Normal procedures followed for analysis, routing & circuit groups can be followed.
