[Tutorial] Gunbound Offline Dear RaGEZONE members, As I have seen, a few people on here aren't able to run an offline

Gunbound server. I decided to post this thread in order to provide you with a setup tutorial. This means that you will be able to host an offline Gunbound server without any internet connection required. There's no need to edit/alter the server files, unless you know what you're doing. I have uploaded everything you need to use. Follow the instructions provided below: Note: Before proceeding, ensure that no web server is installed such as: WAMP, Apache or any others. If you do, you may uninstall. Download Links: SendSpace: Download GBWC_Offline.7z from Sendspace.com - send big files the easy way MegaUpload: MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service MediaFire: GBWC_Offline.7z Once you have done downloading, extract the files to your desktop and disconnect. You do not require an Internet connection. [Dead Link: I'll consider updating...] Open the folder "GBWC_Offline", then open "Tools", then Run "appserv-win32-2.5.10.exe" , and now choose the default settings which are show in the pictures below. [Dead Link: I'll consider updating...] [Dead Link: I'll consider updating...] [Dead Link: I'll consider updating...] [Dead Link: I'll consider updating...] [Dead Link: I'll consider updating...] Next, in the folder "Tools", run "SQLyog812.exe", click next, agree, and install normally. (Default Installation) Then, run SQLyog as shown below. [Dead Link: I'll consider updating...] Now Click Continue when the program opens up, and type in "123456" in the password field and click connect as shown below, then click yes to save changes. [Dead Link: I'll consider updating...] Now right click on root@localhost , and choose "Restore from SQL dump". [Dead Link: I'll consider updating...] Now click the 3 dots/points to Open, and navigate to: "GBWC_Offline\Tools\gunbound.sql"

and click "Execute", and wait for it to complete. Then, click "Done" as show below. [Dead Link: I'll consider updating...] Next, click Tools --> User Manager --> Edit User and choose root@localhost Then, erase the 2 password fields to blank as shown in the picture, click apply. Then confirm by clicking okay and finally click close. I should start posting links of images since the limit of images on a thread is 10. [Dead Link: I'll consider updating...] Next, close SQLyog using "X" button and click 'Continue'. Next, go to where your AppServ 'www' directory is located which usually is: (C:\AppServ\www) and delete everything you see there. (This step is not really required but I recommend to do this). Next, copy the contents of 'www' located in the 'Tools' folder to (C:\AppServ\www) as shown below. Copy: [Dead Link: I'll consider updating...] Paste: [Dead Link: I'll consider updating...] Now, go to the "GBWC_Offline" folder and run Install Servers.bat. Once that's done, you're ready to get in! If everything goes well, you have successfully managed to get your offline server working. Next, you need to edit the client you're using in order to connect to the offline server. You may use any Gunbound WC Season 1 client. Before doing that, in the folder "Tools" , you will find a 'hosts' file, replace this file with the one you see in: (C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc). Next, you have to go to the folder "gunbound" located in "Tools" and copy/replace all the content to your client's directory/folder. The last few steps are to edit the two files: GunBound.ini and NyxLauncher.ini GunBound.ini should look like this: Code:

Reaching here, you now have a working Gunbound offline server. You need to register yourself using any working registration script on RaGEZONE in order to log in. I'm sure you can do this alternatively using SQLyog/MySQL. TIP: Remember, we changed the password to null/blank, so don't think it's 123456. The whole thing was tested by me and is working perfectly, as far as I know. Now, you have an offline server for testing purposes.
