Heritage T ours
Gujarat is on the west coast of India from where my parents originated. According to the legend, many of the great events in Lord Krishnas life took place along the south coast of Gujarat. Historically the city of Lothal, in central Gujarat, dates way back to the Harappan or Indus Valley Civilisation some 4500 years ago. In the 16th and the 17th century, it was a constant battlefield between the Marathas and the Mughal conquerors. In the 18th century, the very first British commercial outpost was set up in Surat, a major trading
centre of Gujarat, before the days of The Raj. The island ports of Daman and Diu survived as the Portuguese enclaves right until 1961. Mahatma Gandhi was born in Porbandar on the south coast of Gujarat. The capital city of Gujarat is Gandhi Nagar and Ahmedabad being the second and most populous city. The entrepreneurial Gujaratis traveled the world and were among the very first Indians to immigrate and travel in large numbers to every corner of the world, from East and South Africa, to the West Indies and the whole of the East Indies, taking with them their Hindu traditions and their vegetarian style of cooking.

Smiling
Smiling is infectious, you catch it like the flu, when someone smiled at me today, I started smiling too. I passed around the corner and someone saw me grin, and when I saw him smile, I knew Id passed it on to him. I thought about that smile and realised its worth, a single smile like mine could travel around the earth. So, if you feel a smile begin dont leave it undetected, Lets start an epidemic quick, and get the world infected!
