General Course Information
Course Prerequisites
C- in Math 1314 or equivalent
 (or concurrent enrollment) Other Restrictions Graphing or alpha display calculators will not be allowed.
 Course Description
Angular measure, trigonometric functions, their properties, trigonometric identities, equations, and applications, trigonometric form of complex number and related topics. An Introduction to Trigonometry , Trigonometric Graphs and Models , Identities: Their Place, Purpose, and Application , Inverse Functions and Trigonometric Equations , Applications of Trigonometry
 
Student Learning Outcomes Students will master techniques of computing with trigonometric functions and their inverses, acquire an understanding of how models of real-world situations are constructed using trigonometric functions, and develop an algebraic expertise in deriving and verifying trigonometric identities.
 Required Textbooks and Materials TEXTBOOK:
Trigonometry, second edition, by John W. Coburn (1st ed acceptable). Or Ebook
CALCULATOR:
 No Graphing Calculators, a scientific calculator is needed. Textbook, calculator, lecture notes and scratch paper should be brought to each class  period. Students will be working problems in class.

Grading Policy
Your final class average will be determined based on the following weighting.
Homework 10% Quizzes 5% Attendance 5% Exams (two) 25% each Total of 50% Final Exam 30%

Course & Instructor Policies
Homework: There will be homework that need to be submitted online.
 
Quizzes: There will be weekly quizzes . Exam: There will be two exams and a comprehensive final. Calculator: A scientific calculator is required. Calculators are permitted on exams. Cell phones are NOT permitted on any exam. Email: Do not send email asking to explain homework questions. I will not reply to those.
