10 Commandments of Shooting Safety


1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. TREAT EVERY GUN WITH THE RESPECT DUE A LOADED GUN. WATCH THAT MUZZLE! Carry your gun safely; always uncocked until ready to shoot. UNLOAD GUNS WHEN NOT IN USE, take down or have actions open: guns should be carried in cases to shooting area. BE SURE BARREL IS CLEAR OF OBSTRUCTIONS, and that you have ammunition only of the proper size for the gun you carry. BE SURE OF TARGET BEFORE YOU PULL TRIGGER; know identifying features of game you hunt. NEVER POINT A GUN AT ANYTHING YOU DO NOT WANT TO SHOOT; avoid all horseplay. NEVER CLIMB A TREE OR FENCE OR JUMP A DITCH WITH A LOADED GUN; never pull a gun towards you by the muzzle. NEVER SHOOT A BULLET AT A FLAT, HARD SURFACE OR WATER; at target practice be sure your backstop is adequate. STORE GUNS AND AMMUNITION SEPARATELY, beyond reach of children. AVOID ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES before or during shooting.

TO CHARGE
( USE AM POWR MODEL 125 CYLINDER ONLY )

Point gun in safe direction advance cocking knob toward muzzle to cock fire if there is a residual gas in gun repeat until completely exhausted. Remove left hand grip by inserting coin in slot on lower front edge and lifting. Insert coin in piercing screw at butt and back off until cylinder in gun can be removed. Insert new cylinder in gun and advance piercing screw until it is firmly seated to pierce and charge gun. A slight escape of gas is often detectable when piercing continue to advance screw until this stops and the cylinder is seated. Point gun in safe direction cock and dry fire to insure that it is properly charged.

TO LOAD AND SHOOT


1. With gun uncocked and pointed in safe direction turn cocking knob to left and draw bolt back to fullest movement. Place AmPell pellet with nose toward muzzle in loading port in back of rear sight. Advance bolt to full closed position and turn right to lock. Attempt to draw back to insure lock is engaged before shooting.

Insure the target is safe cock gun by advancing cocking knob until the sear engages sight target and fire. Adjust rear sight for elevation or windage as needed with the provided adjustment screws. Always have your gun unloaded when not in use. A pellet can be removed from chamber in this manner: Uncock gun open bolt point in safe direction insert rod in muzzle end and push pellet back to loading part turn gun and drop out pellet.

LUBRICATION

Use a light grade of non-penetrating neutral machine oil sparingly at approximately each 200 shots at these points: 1. Cocking knob and hammer with gun uncocked place three or four drops of oil in square opening ahead of knob. Bolt open bolt and oil on top side. Trigger and Sear turn gun upside down drop in small amount of oil in opening beside trigger allow to enter gun.
