The 'heavy lifting' is only possible by the use of a Magma Expansion Chassis: http://www.magma.com/ Model no. PXB2DX, this provided a three slot PCI bus with its own power supply that connected to the G3 laptop via it's PCMCIA card slot. This allowed the system to use the Media 100 P6000 Vincent video engine, possibly the best analogue video interface PCI card ever made. It came complete with a Sony made daughter board that provided a Firewire 400 connection for Mini DV and DVCAM use. This Chassis also has an Atto UL2 SCSI interface card that connects to two scsi 36Gb hard disc drives configured in a raid format for high speed resilient digital video, it also provides a fast scsi connection for external raid drives. The flight case can not contain the full break out panel and the reference books but it has another compact AV interface cable with connections for Composite Video(BNC) and SVideo(Mini Din) and Un-balanced Audio(Phono).
