called the technological process. in this section you will learn about the different methods and stages of the technological process. What is the technological process? Technological starts with a human need, and ends with the production and testing of a solution. For example, imagine that you need to get to the other side of a deep gorge. There is no easy way to cross the gorge (problem). What are some possible solutions? Climb down one side of the gorge and climb back up the other. Swing across on a rope. Make a bridge that allows you to walk across. Make a cable car system that carries you across. Make an airplane that flies you across. By generating these ideas, you begin the problem-solving process. Every day you engage in many activities that require problem solving. At school, many subjects (such as math and science) teach you to use a problem-solving aproach. Technological also teaches you to use problem-solving to find solutions. In technological, the problem-solving approach is called the technological process. The technological process is not a fixed process. You can apply a variety of problem-solving methods, depending on the type of technology and the nature of the problem.
