Description: These worksheets make it easy to calculate and keep track of your Area Calculations and REScheck Data for a project. You simply draw a few polygons to dene your areas then enter area names or set a few energy related parameters and the worksheets do all of your calculations for you. When changes are made to your areas, you only have to modify the polygons and all of your information will be updated (after you recalculate the worksheets).
Using the Worksheet: When the above items are in place, setup the worksheet as follows: 1. 2. 3. 4. Draw polygons dening conditioned space areas. Assign Record Format REScheck- Envelope Data to polygon(s). In Object Info/Data tab enter Area Name, Wall Height and set remaining to True or False depending on if you want them calculated. *To enter True or False just type t or f. Doors or windows with "on REScheck" set to False will not appear on worksheet. Check all doors and windows to conrm that correct units are listed on worksheet.
Using the Worksheet: When the above items are in place, setup the worksheet as follows: 1. 2. 3. Draw polygons dening areas wanted in calculations. Apply hatch patterns (optional). Assign Record Format Area Calcs (Sheet-2F) to polygon(s). In Object Info/Data tab enter Area Names and C for Conditioned or U for Unconditioned.
Comments:
These worksheets are intended as a guide and framework for calculating data. They are setup for 2-story structures. You may modify them as you wish to adjust for your conditions or suite your workow. The REScheck worksheet is usable for COMcheck as is, but you may want to add additional parameters, such as projection factor, etc. The info in the REScheck worksheet is not transferable to the DOE-REScheck application. You will manually have to enter it. This worksheet will still save you tons of time. * Don't forget, worksheets need to be manually recalculated whenever data is changed, so always recalculate all worksheets prior to printing or creating PDFs. I created Print and PDF commands that recalculate all worksheets and update the drawing's Date Stamp before proceeding.
