We made our mark on Lynchburg and the surrounding communities in 1995 when we became the Lynchburg Hillcats. Since opening the gates to our renovated ballpark in 2004, we have become even more popular throughout the region. City Stadium is now one of the top venues in all of Minor League baseball, and our facility truly gives us the ability to entertain fans from the time they enter the stadium until the time they leave.

QUOTABLES: Some Hillcats Remember Back to Their Draft Day

Devin Mesoraco, Drafted First Round (15th Overall) in 2007: We had a state playoff game that day that started before the draft. After the game, we went to a local sports bar and watched it on T.V. It was good to share that moment with my teammates and my family and to be drafted by the Reds in the first round is a dream come true. Brad Boxberger, Drafted Supplemental First Round (43rd Overall) in 2009: It was just a surreal moment. I dont remember most of it just because of everything going on, but it was definitely exciting. Neftali Soto, Drafted Supplemental Third Round in 2007: I was kinda nervous because Puerto Rico is a small island, and we have to compete with the United States and Canada. I was confident in my work done in Puerto Rico. I was so happy because I thought they were not going to pick me. I was down in my house listening to it and I didnt know if someone was going to pick me or not and the Reds came out of nowhere.

Picnic Information
Year after year picnics are the most popular form of group outing at City Stadium. These unique events offer life-long memories to all in attendance. Picnics start an hour and thirty minutes before gametime and last until first pitch. The customizable all-you-can-eat menu includes hot dogs, hamburgers, baked beans, cookies, soda and chips. Beer and other add-ons are available as well. Let the Hillcats do all the work for your next outing. Picnic dates are first come first served, so reserve your date early!
