Biography
Montral, Quebec straight edge Metalcore act fronted by physical education teacher Frank Pellerin. The band was created in 2000 by erstwhile personnel from A DEATH FOR EVERY SIN and DOWNFALL OF MAN. An opening 7" single, shared with THE BURNING BRIDGE, was followed up by an EP entitled 'Blood Covered Words' and the inclusion of a song 'Nothing To Lose' on the '51.4.50 (Montreal Hardcore)' compilation album. All this activity grabbed the attention of Ontario based Goodfellow Records who signed the band, now having added new vocalist Frank Pellerin, for 2003 debut album 'Cease To Suffer', greatly accelerating word of mouth on the band as it scored maximum ratings across the Hardcore media.

A PERFECT MURDER signed to Victory Records for a 2004 studio album 'Unbroken'. Extensive tour dates in June had the group opening for UNEARTH and BURNT BY THE SUN. Another run of North American gigs in July had the group allied with INTO THE MOAT and SOILENT GREEN. Further gigs throughout August and September saw the band hooked up with road partners LOVE IS RED and DONNYBROOK. A further round of shows announced to run throughout November found the band packaged with THE ACACIA STRAIN, SCARS OF TOMORROW and BURY YOUR DEAD. However, the band suffered a major blow in mid October when three members left the fold, forming ACES & EIGHTS, curtailing tour plans. The group was put on hold in the Autumn of 2004 but was subsequently re-assembled by Carl Bouchard and Yan Chausse. Initially bass was taken up by Dave Bayreuther of HUMAN BREED and UNIFORM JUSTICE and Pierre Remillard joined briefly as second guitarist. The latter bowed out when it became his studio obligations were paramount. Nashville native Kevin Randel, previously of SKARD, took on the vacant vocalist spot followed by second guitarist Dom Poisson of HELL AGAIN and KILLING PAIN repute. Working at Remillard's Wild Studio in March of 2005, A PERFECT MURDER's third outing 'Strength Through Vengeance' emerged in July. Line-up changes found Bayreuther switching to rhythm guitar and Francois Michel Labrie taking command of bass. A PERFECT MURDER undertook headline shows across Canada in September before hooking up with ARCH ENEMY, MNEMIC and ALL THAT REMAINS in November then AGNOSTIC FRONT, NAPALM DEATH, BLEED THE SKY and BORN FROM PAIN for European 'Persistence' dates in December. However, these concerts would be conducted minus Kevin Randel, ousted due to "internal band issues". In his place would come EARTH CRISIS and FREYA veteran Karl Buechner. It would then be rumoured that singer Craig Heckman of DARKER DAY TOMORROW had stepped into the frame. The band would be back on US soil in early 2006, packaged with NAPALM DEATH, UNDYING and KREATOR for gigs in February. However, Craig Heckman exited abruptly, seeing a return for former singer Kevin Randel. A short US West Coast tour had SOULFLY, MANNTIS and INCITE as running mates. The band formed up the UK and European "Hell On Earth" tour in September and October. Joining them would be GOD FORBID, Germany's MAROON, HEAVEN SHALL BURN, FULL BLOWN CHAOS, PURIFIED IN BLOOD from Norway and Swiss act CATARACT. Having been joined by new members Kyrill Ducharme on guitar and bassist Francois Michel Labrie, A PERFECT MURDER cut their third album, entitled 'War Of Aggression', in January 2007, again working with Pierre Rmillard at Wild studio in St-Znon, northern Quebec. A PERFECT MURDER parted ways with bassist Francois-Michel Labrie in April.
