JOB TITLE: Route Auditor LOCATION: Meyer Waste, Chesterton Indiana JOB REPORTS TO: Operations Manager DOT

JOB SUMMARY: The Route Auditor, under supervision of the Operations Manager, assists the company in meeting its goals and objectives by performing route audits and developing statistical information reports for management based on audit findings. The Route Auditor will perform administrative duties related to department business needs and will partner with other division members to maintain a safe and healthful work environment. Audit data against existing route sheets by riding in collection vehicles on route. Implement and maintain route auditing policies and procedures. Implement methods that measure and evaluate the effectiveness of existing route control systems. Identify and establish corrective actions needed to address problem areas related to routing and servicing issues. Communicate with management regarding customer service situations. Performs risk assessment on all customer service locations and communicates these assessments via written report to the Operations Manager. Maintain all required records and reports accurately and timely. Prepare, present and distribute statistical reports and documents as required by management. Participate in special projects as needed. Comply with all company safety and operating policies, procedures, plans and programs while on route and on site. Maintain all company issued property in good working order. QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS:

One year certificate from an accredited college or technical school; or three to six months of demonstrated related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Waste industry experience preferred. Proficient in use of Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, and Power Point) applications. Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook Email and Internet software. Must demonstrate integrity and professionalism. Must prioritize in a fast paced multi-task environment. Must calculate figures and amounts such as proportions and percentages. Must effectively manage time and details. Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, and/or diagram form. Must have the demonstrated ability to develop statistical reports to identify trends and/or problems and establish corrective steps and measures. Must work with minimal supervision.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, see, talk, and hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to twenty-five (25) pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to video display terminals. The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
