11.

Primary Research Method: Questionnaire Secondary Research Method: Experts suggestion

Section B
1. Describe the arrangements for selecting/sampling and briefing potential participants.
Stratified sampling would be used to select participants. People from networking or related field are the most appropriate ones to answer the questions. Participants from various networking organizations would be selected using the personal relations I have. Questionnaire would be forwarded to the participants through email.

2.

What is the potential for participants or third parties to benefit from the research? Participants may not see direct benefits. However, this research may help the network industry to deploy better transport layer protocol in place of TCP.

3.

Describe any possible negative consequences of participation in the research along with the ways in which these consequences will be limited. Statistics such as number or workstations and the applications that are being used in the industry are required for analysis purpose. Unless participants feel that they are not contributing proprietary information, data would not be considered.

4.

Describe the arrangements for obtaining participants' consent. Questionnaire would itself contain consent form which mentions the No Objection points.

5.

Describe how participants will be made aware of their right to withdraw from the research. Guidelines provided along with the questionnaire would make a note of it. Collected would not be accessed by other than the researcher (me).

9.

Are there any conflicts of interest in you undertaking this research?

No.

10.

What are the expected outcomes, impacts and benefits of the research? A solution framework that suggests the best policies for safe deployment of SCTP. 11. Please give details of any plans for dissemination of the results of the research Results would be saved on www.surveymonkey.com and they would be disposed once dissertation was accepted and results are announced.
