Course Description This five-day intensive course enables participants to develop the expertise needed to audit an Information Security Management System (ISMS) and to manage a team of auditors by applying widely recognized audit principles, procedures and techniques. During this training, the participant will acquire the skills and knowledge needed to proficiently plan and perform audits compliant with the certification process of the ISO/IEC 27001:2005 standard. Based on practical exercises, the participant will develop the abilities (mastering audit techniques) and skills (managing audit teams and audit program, communicating with customers, conflict resolution, etc.) necessary to the efficient conducting of an audit.

About the Examination

The ISO/IEC 27001:2005 Lead Auditor exam is certified by RABQSA and meets the criteria of the "RABQSA Training Provider Examination Certification Scheme" (TPECS) and covers the following competency units: o RABQSA IS (Information Security Management System) o RABQSA AU (Auditing Management Systems) o RABQSA TL (Leader MS Audit Teams) Duration of the exam: 3 hours A certificate will be issued to participants who successfully complete the exam After successfully completing the exam, the participant can apply for the title of ISO/IEC 27001:2005 - ISMS Provisional Auditor, ISO/IEC 27001:2005 ISMS Auditor or ISO/IEC 27001:2005 - ISMS Lead Auditor depending on their experience The certificate for the successful completion of the RABQSA exam is recognized by IRCA and meets the IRCA/2016 certification criteria. Course Description This five-day intensive course enables the participants to develop the expertise to support an organization in implementing and managing an Information Security Management System (ISMS) as specified in ISO/IEC 27001:2005. Participants will also master the best practices for implementing information security controls from the eleven areas of ISO/IEC 27002:2005. This training is consistent with the good practices of project management established by the Project Management Institute (PMI) and ISO 10006:2003 (Quality Management Systems - Guidelines for Quality Management in Projects). This training is fully compatible with ISO/IEC 27003:2009 (Guidelines for the Implementation of an ISMS), ISO/IEC 27004:2009 (Measurement of Information Security) and ISO/IEC 27005:2008 (Risk Management in Information Security).
