ROC L740CR
A smart investment
in top performance
The ROC L740CR is the ultimate drill rig for production and pre-split work in open pit mines, quarries and construction sites with high demands on productivity. Thanks to the powerful rock drill COP 4050 it has an extraordinary performance in its hole range and is designed to cope with the most challenging conditions.
Equipped with the unique Atlas Copco cylinder-feed system built into an aluminium box type feed beam, the ROC L740CR delivers a precise and consistent feed force. The aluminium feed beam is structurally much stronger and more resistant to bending and torsional stress than its steel counterpart. Thanks to a rigid drill string and a limited in-hole annual space, excellent hole cleaning is achieved and the risk of getting stuck is minimized. The COPROD method has proven especially suited for fractured formation. Furthermore, the hole inclination and hole depth instruments ensure precise positioning of the feed and a minimum of in-hole deviation, resulting in controlled fragmentation and an overall good drilling and blasting economy.
Long life aluminium box profile hydraulic cylinder feed system with exchangeable snap on stainless steel wear protection
Carousel type handling system of COPROD sections, which are randomly selected. Efficient hydraulic break-outtable for breaking the joints, which also includes guides and a retractable dust collector hood, which contributes to a full view and precise collaring sequence
Full view ROPS and FOPS safety cabin, silenced and vibration damped, fitted with a comfortable operators seat, joy stick drilling control and easy-to-read instrumentation
Dust collector system, which includes a pre-separator and a built in filter unit with an efficient filter cleaning system
Adjustable double centralizer and rod gripper arms ensure minimum wear on drill string threads
With the back camera the rear terrain can be viewed on a cab mounted monitor for increased safety during rear tramming. The same monitor may also be connected to the optional DVD for viewing DVD discs.
The GPS Compass aiming device uses the GPS satellite system and enables you to lock the blast direction for every hole. GPS compass adds a new dimension to the extensive automation already available on ROC L740CR.
Though the risk of getting stuck with a COPROD string is practically non-existent, it could happen. With the Tube extraction device (TED), mounted directly on the drill string, reverse impact ensures the drill string cannot get stuck.
The feed-mounted service winch offers lifting capacity for loading drill tubes into the rod handling system for extended hole depth, or for lifting components for service. The control is conveniently located by the break-out table.
