net 201-321-9312 As a construction management professional I will be a valuable asset to any company in office and field management situations. I spent my first 30 years working in an ownership capacity in a family owned mid-sized road and utility company with over 50 union affiliated employees. During that time I had responsibility for the financial management of the business, I implemented the use of computers into the daily operation thus allowing the ability to provide an in house payroll system that saved time and money on a weekly basis. This computerization allowed me to implement a new job costing system that greatly improved our profitability. All office functions from receivables and payables to quarterly taxes, union reports billing and collections were positively affected by this new system. As the construction economic times improved a second non union company was formed in order to stay competitive in the home building industry, this also fell under my direction. Due to the nature of a family owned company I was also part of the daily field management of over 10 working crews installing sanitary sewers, storm drains and large retention systems, water mains and services, road construction, site clearing and excavation as well as concrete, gabion and block wall retaining systems. My past 10 years have been spent in the same capacity as an employee , allowing me to experience the other side of the construction equation. My experience now allows me to work as an employee with an owners perspective , and the ability to get fellow employees to work effectively for both the company and themselves. CONSTRUCTION EXPERIENCE: MIKE JOST EXCAVATING INCORPORATED September 2007 to present 361 PULIS AVE, FRANKLIN LAKES, NEW JERSEY A mid-size non union site work Construction Company specializing in residential and commercial construction. DUTIES INCLUDE: * Responsible for final review of contracts prior to execution * Implemented a complete change in the daily employee reporting system allowing better control over project record keeping * Implemented a complete change in the daily employee maintenance reporting system allowing for better control over repair cost * Implemented a complete change in the company job costing system that was non existent. This allows for the bidding personnel to have better records to use to prepare their proposals * Revised the project filing system allowing for better control of cost and project records. * Revised the procedures for record keeping on large projects allowing for better control over potential disputes before they can get out of hand

CONSTRUCTION CO, LLC January 2001 thru August 2007 NEW MILFORD, NJ A small utility construction company that specialized in commercial site work construction DUTIES INCLUDE: * Company Controller * Weekly Payroll and Certified Payroll Reports( when necessary) * Job costing * Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable * Purchase of both company and employee health insurances * Accumulated information necessary for the preparation of financial statements and tax filing * Assisted in Field Supervision, Crew Scheduling and the Bidding Process UFHEIL CONSTRUCTION CO INC. /ARVAK CONSTRUCTION CO INC August 1971 to December 2000 ORADELL, NJ A mid sized family owned union affiliated company that specialized in Public Agency, commercial and residential utility and road construction projects. Our specialties included the installation of sanitary sewer mains and services, water mains and services, storm drains, small bridge and culvert installation, gabion, concrete and block retaining wall systems, traffic signalization, concrete curb and sidewalk installation, and complete roadway construction. Our projects ranged in size from as small as $15,000.00 to as large as $5,000,000.00. During the late 1970as and early 1980as a second company (Arvak Construction) was formed that dealt only in the non-union private home building industry. At our peak our yearly sales volume between both companies was in excess of $10,000,000.00. As a family member and partial owner of each company my duties were multifaceted. DUTIES INCLUDED: * Responsible for Financial Operation of both Ufheil & Arvak Construction Companies * Prepared Weekly Payroll for upward of 100 employees & all Certified Payroll Reports

* Prepared Quarterly Payroll Tax Reports, accounts payable, over saw the job cost system for both companies * Oversaw the preparation of contracts, initial contract negotiation, maintained necessary paperwork to insure prompt payment * Responsible for development and presentation of contract claims and change orders * Prepared all contract invoices as well as the collection of payments due * Responsible for filing all union reports and dealing with union representatives * Facilitated daily planning meetings to schedule up to 10 work crews ensuring a smooth transition from job to job * Assisted in Field Supervision and the Bidding process RELATED EXPERIENCE: Working knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Office, and all aspects of computerization My many years of experience in the construction industry make it easy for me to step into any position offered and do it well with little or no training. Experience is the best teacher and I have learned this industry well. My continued employment in the industry has kept me in tune with the various changes and innovations in the field and fuels my continued enthusiasm for it. My involvement in a great number of diversified projects makes me a valuable asset to any company.
