Registration 1. It is the students/delegates responsibility to register with their examining body. All course fees exclude amounts payable to the professional body for student/delegate registration, exemptions and examination entries, which are payable by students delegates and MPES accepts no responsibility for this. Computer Based Examination (CBE) fees payable to MPES include exam entry fees and a handling fee charged by MPES. Course fees include relevant study material, unless otherwise stated.

Payment 1. 2. Payment must be made before a student attends the course. Payment may be made by cheque or BACS Places will not be held for courses where payment has not been made in full prior to the start date.
Joining Instructions 1. 2. Joining instructions will be sent out by email to the student/delegate upon registration, unless otherwise requested. Joining instructions will confirm course timings, venue and tutor, together with any specific requirements of the course.
Course Attendance 1. 2. 3. If a student/delegate fails to turn up for a course, we will notify their respective manager or training manager by 11 am, where applicable. Where mock exams are issued, students will be advised of the necessary completion deadlines. Where students fail to complete exams sponsoring employers will be informed. Students/delegates are expected to conduct themselves at all times in a manner which demonstrates respect for MPES and its staff, fellow students/delegates and property. Any students/delegates whose conduct is deemed to be inappropriate or disruptive will be excluded from the course following a verbal then subsequent formal written warning. In these circumstances no refund will be offered. MPES reserves the right to change course dates, venues and tutors in exceptional circumstances. MPES will of course advise students/delegates of any change as early as possible.

All requests for cancellation or deferral of a course must be received by MPES in writing. Deferral: Where the full amount has been paid, an enrolment can be deferred for one relevant sitting (subject to availability), provided that MPES receives written notice at least 4 weeks prior to the course commencement date. An administration charge of 50 excluding VAT per course will be invoiced by MPES. No refunds will be made and amounts paid will be carried forward accordingly. If it is necessary to purchase new course materials upon recommencement of deferred study then these will be invoiced separately. Cancellation: Written notification must be received at least 4 weeks prior to the course commencement date. A cancellation charge of 100 excluding VAT per paper will be invoiced by MPES. Full course fees will be payable if less than 4 weeks notice is given and no refund will be made in such circumstances. Refunds are not available if they relate to study materials, where the materials have been supplied to the student/delegate. MPES reserves the right to use its discretion to determine whether to make refunds under particular exceptional circumstances. Employers can change the name of the student attending the course any time up to the course start date at no extra charge. Any refund made by MPES will be paid to the original payer.
Student Complaints Procedure 1. 2. 3. The Office Manager is the point of contact for all complaints. MPES student questionnaires are primarily for student feedback although they can be used to lodge a complaint, the Office Manager reviews the questionnaires. Complaints can also be made separately to the questionnaire forms directly to the Office Manager. Complaints can be made either verbally, written or by e-mail.
Procedure: 1. Complaint is made. 2. A letter will be sent out to the complainant to acknowledge receipt of complaint and discuss resolution process within the next two working days. 3. Once a solution has been reached then a letter confirming the solution will be sent to the complainant discussing actions necessary for resolution. This will be sent out within the next 5 working days.
