How do you do this?

Post your press kit and show-related press releases on the official Online Media Centre in the press section of the midem website. This free service has been specifically designed to help you in your media outreach and to broaden your visibility at the event.

You want to contact journalists attending the show


midemconnect is the best way to make these connections. All accredited journalists and photographers are listed on the midem database starting 2 months ahead of the event. This simple tool allows your communications or PR department to contact each accredited journalist by mail or phone. Your password and login are supplied along with the confirmation of your or your clients, accreditation at midem.

Once you have your login and password: Go to http://www.midem.com/connect/

Enter your personal login and password List of journalists present at midem: Click on the participants search and select press on the content type filter Then click on the journalists name from the media you want to contact, it will open his/her profile (phone number, email) Bear in mind that the journalists often request accreditation during the last four weeks before the show starts. During this period, the midemconnect is frequently updated. Some journalists prefer not to publish their contact details.

how to organise a tailor-made press event at midem?


Your media event will depend on
The nature of your message: Are you launching a new product? Are you announcing corporate news or releasing the CEOs statement? As an exhibitor, if youre planning on making any announcements at the show, please contact us in advance of the event. Youll improve your chances of getting your news in front of the thousands of attendees by acting early. Your target: Are you targeting the trade, business or consumer press? Which territories are you aiming for? Your schedule: When will your top executives/ talents be available? We can advise you on what other events are scheduled and when, so you can avoid overlapping with other events.

On journalists: Who is accredited? Which are the most important publications in each territory? Which are the key trade or general media you should target? If organised in advance, your press conference can be announced in our calendar of events and in the Press Club. On format: Which format is best for the message you want to convey? One-on-one interviews, a round table, a press conference, a press cocktail, a press breakfast, a photo-call? On venue: The Blue Lounge - a fully-equipped press conference facility capable of holding 60 people, complete with sound/video capacity, technicians, plasma screens and a bilingual (French/English) moderator to anchor your press conference if you require. The Blue Lounge is located in the Palais des Festivals, close to the clubs and the conferences rooms, making it easily accessible for the international media covering midem and for your executives or talents. We can advise you on the most suitable time slot available during midem and we actively promote your event to the attending media. On timing: When is the best day, whats the best time? This depends on elements such as publication deadlines, competing events and daylight hours.
