Theyhadlost600,000oftheflowerofFrenchyouthinthedefenseofVerdunontheSomme. TheRussianarmywasdefecting,theywerepickinguptheirtoysandgoinghome,theydidn't wanttoplaywaranymore,theydidn'tliketheCzar.AndtheItalianarmyhadcollapsed.

NotashothadbeenfiredonGermansoil.Notoneenemysoldierhadcrossedtheborderinto Germany.Andyet,GermanywasofferingEnglandpeaceterms.TheyofferedEnglanda negotiatedpeaceonwhatthelawyerscallastatusquoantebasis.Thatmeans:"Let'scallthe waroff,andleteverythingbeasitwasbeforethewarstarted."England,inthesummerof1916 wasconsideringthatseriously.Theyhadnochoice.Itwaseitheracceptingthisnegotiated peacethatGermanywasmagnanimouslyofferingthem,orgoingonwiththewarandbeing totallydefeated.

Whilethatwasgoingon,theZionistsinGermany,whorepresentedtheZionistsfromEastern Europe,wenttotheBritishWarCabinetandIamgoingtobebriefbecauseit'salongstory, butIhaveallthedocumentstoproveanystatementthatImaketheysaid:"Lookhere.You canyetwinthiswar.Youdon'thavetogiveup.Youdon'thavetoacceptthenegotiatedpeace offeredtoyounowbyGermany.YoucanwinthiswariftheUnitedStateswillcomeinasyour ally."TheUnitedStateswasnotinthewaratthattime.Wewerefreshwewereyoungwe wererichwewerepowerful.TheytoldEngland:"WewillguaranteetobringtheUnitedStates intothewarasyourally,tofightwithyouonyourside,ifyouwillpromiseusPalestineafter youwinthewar."Inotherwords,theymadethisdeal:"WewillgettheUnitedStatesintothis warasyourally.ThepriceyoumustpayisPalestineafteryouhavewonthewaranddefeated Germany,AustriaHungary,andTurkey."NowEnglandhadasmuchrighttopromisePalestine toanybody,astheUnitedStateswouldhavetopromiseJapantoIrelandforanyreason whatsoever.It'sabsolutelyabsurdthatGreatBritain,thatneverhadanyconnectionorany interestoranyrightinwhatisknownasPalestineshouldofferitascoinoftherealmtopaythe ZionistsforbringingtheUnitedStatesintothewar.However,theydidmakethatpromise,in Octoberof1916.AndshortlyafterthatIdon'tknowhowmanyhererememberitthe UnitedStates,whichwasalmosttotallyproGerman,enteredthewarasBritain'sally.

NowthosesameJews,whentheysawthepossibilityofgettingPalestine,wenttoEnglandand theymadethisdeal.Atthattime,everythingchanged,likeatrafficlightthatchangesfromred togreen.WherethenewspapershadbeenallproGerman,wherethey'dbeentellingthepeople ofthedifficultiesthatGermanywashavingfightingGreatBritaincommerciallyandinother respects,allofasuddentheGermanswerenogood.Theywerevillains.TheywereHuns.They wereshootingRedCrossnurses.Theywerecuttingoffbabies'hands.Theywerenogood. Shortlyafterthat,Mr.WilsondeclaredwaronGermany.

Itwasaselloutthatmightbecomparedtothishypotheticalsituation:SupposetheUnitedStates wasatwarwiththeSovietUnion.Andwewerewinning.AndwetoldtheSovietUnion:"Well, let'squit.Weofferyoupeaceterms.Let'sforgetthewholething."AndallofasuddenRed ChinacameintothewarasanallyoftheSovietUnion.Andthrowingthemintothewarbrought aboutourdefeat.Acrushingdefeat,withreparationsthelikesofwhichman'simagination cannotencompass.Imagine,then,afterthatdefeat,ifwefoundoutthatitwastheChinesein thiscountry,ourChinesecitizens,whoallthetimewehadthoughtwereloyalcitizensworking withus,weresellingusouttotheSovietUnionandthatitwasthroughthemthatRedChina wasbroughtintothewaragainstus.Howwouldwefeel,then,intheUnitedStatesagainst Chinese?Idon'tthinkthatoneofthemwoulddareshowhisfaceonanystreet.Therewouldn't beenoughconvenientlamppoststotakecareofthem.Imaginehowwewouldfeel.

Well,that'showtheGermansfelttowardstheseJews.They'dbeensonicetothem:from1905 on,whenthefirstCommunistrevolutioninRussiafailed,andtheJewshadtoscrambleoutof Russia,theyallwenttoGermany.AndGermanygavethemrefuge.Andtheyweretreatedvery nicely.AndheretheyhadsoldGermanydowntheriverfornoreasonatallotherthanthefact thattheywantedPalestineasasocalled"Jewishcommonwealth."

AndWorldWarIhadbeenstartedagainstGermanyfornoreasonforwhichGermanywas responsible.Theywereguiltyofnothing.Onlyofbeingsuccessful.Theybuiltupabignavy. Theybuiltupworldtrade.YoumustrememberthatGermanyatthetimeoftheFrench Revolutionconsistedof300smallcitystates,principalities,dukedoms,andsoforth.Three hundredseparatelittlepoliticalentities.Andbetweenthattime,betweenthetimesofNapoleon andBismarck,theywereconsolidatedintoonestate.Andwithin50yearstheybecameoneof theworld'sgreatpowers.TheirnavywasrivalingGreatBritain's,theyweredoingbusinessall overtheworld,theycouldundersellanybody,theycouldmakebetterproducts.Whathappened asaresultofthat?

TherewasaconspiracybetweenEngland,France,andRussiatoslapdownGermany.There isn'tonehistorianintheworldwhocanfindavalidreasonwhythosethreecountriesdecidedto wipeGermanyoffthemappolitically.

WhenGermanyrealizedthattheJewswereresponsibleforherdefeat,theynaturallyresentedit. ButnotahairontheheadofanyJewwasharmed.Notasinglehair.ProfessorTansill,of

GeorgetownUniversity,whohadaccesstoallthesecretpapersoftheStateDepartment,wrote inhisbook,andquotedfromaStateDepartmentdocumentwrittenbyHugoSchoenfelt,aJew whomCordellHullsenttoEuropein1933toinvestigatethesocalledcampsofpolitical prisoners,whowrotebackthathefoundtheminveryfinecondition.Theywereinexcellent shape,witheverybodytreatedwell.AndtheywerefilledwithCommunists.Well,alotofthem wereJews,becausetheJewshappenedtocompriseabout98percentoftheCommunistsin Europeatthattime.Andthereweresomeprieststhere,andministers,andlaborleaders,and Masons,andotherswhohadinternationalaffiliations.

Somebackgroundisinorder:In19181919theCommuniststookoverBavariaforafewdays. TheGermanstookappropriateactionagainsttheJews.They,shallIsay,discriminatedagainst themwherevertheycould.Theyshunnedthem.Thesamewaythatwewouldshunthe Chinese,ortheNegroes,ortheCatholics,oranyoneinthiscountrywhohadsoldusouttoan enemyandbroughtaboutourdefeat.

AnditisafactthattwothirdsofGermany'sfoodsupplyhadtobeimported,anditcouldonly beimportedwiththeproceedsofwhattheyexported.SoifGermanycouldnotexport,two thirdsofGermany'spopulationwouldhavetostarve.Therewasjustnotenoughfoodformore thanonethirdofthepopulation.Nowinthisdeclaration,whichIhavehere,andwhichwas printedintheNewYorkTimesonAugust7,1933,Mr.SamuelUntermyerboldlystatedthat "thiseconomicboycottisourmeansofselfdefense.PresidentRoosevelthasadvocateditsuse intheNationalRecoveryAdministration,"whichsomeofyoumayremember,whereeverybody wastobeboycottedunlesshefollowedtheruleslaiddownbytheNewDeal,andwhichwas declaredunconstitutionalbytheSupremeCourtofthattime.Nevertheless,theJewsofthe worlddeclaredaboycottagainstGermany,anditwassoeffectivethatyoucouldn'tfindone thinginanystoreanywhereintheworldwiththewords"MadeinGermany"onit.Infact,an executiveoftheWoolworthCompanytoldmethattheyhadtodumpmillionsofdollarsworth ofcrockeryanddishesintotheriverthattheirstoreswereboycottedifanyonecameinand foundadishmarked"madeinGermany,"theywerepicketedwithsignssaying"Hitler," "murderer,"andsoforth,somethinglikethesesitinsthataretakingplaceintheSouth.

AtastorebelongingtotheR.H.Macychain,whichwascontrolledbyafamilycalledStrauss whoalsohappentobeJews,awomanfoundstockingstherewhichcamefromChemnitz, marked"MadeinGermany."Well,theywerecottonstockingsandtheymayhavebeenthere20 years,sinceI'vebeenobservingwomen'slegsformanyyearsandit'sbeenalongtimesince

I'veseenanycottonstockingsonthem.IsawMacy'sboycotted,withhundredsofpeople walkingaroundwithsignssaying"murderers,""Hitlerites,"andsoforth.

Nowuptothattime,notonehairontheheadofanyJewhadbeenhurtinGermany.Therewas nosuffering,therewasnostarvation,therewasnomurder,therewasnothing.

Naturally,theGermanssaid,"Whoarethesepeopletodeclareaboycottagainstusandthrow allourpeopleoutofwork,andmakeourindustriescometoastandstill?Whoaretheytodo thattous?"Theynaturallyresentedit.Certainlytheypaintedswastikasonstoresownedby Jews.WhyshouldaGermangoinandgivehismoneytoastorekeeperwhowaspartofa boycottthatwasgoingtostarveGermanyintosurrenderingtotheJewsoftheworld,whowere goingtodictatewhotheirpremierorchancellorwastobe?Well,itwasridiculous.
