The Future of Islam: While the rest of the world is looking around itself trying to figure out how

to make this world more livable and peaceful, the Islamic world is looking at the canopy above hoping for wellbeing to fall out straight from the sky. In his book , 'Clash of Civilizations,' Samuel Huntington gives the trophy to Muhammad over Jesus based on demographic statistics, but no where does he mention which Civili zation will actually win the 'Clash'. Fareed Zakaria in his flip flops flips hi s mind like a scholar wanna be not knowing what reality actually is, divides the world first into a unipolar one and then later changes it to a multipolar one, and then there is Nial Fergusson of Harvard who is more obsessed with Western de cline than the ground reality which faces humanity today.

That reality is simple, if the West falls then its not going to be Islam, China , or India which are going to replace it, but that mankind will head directly to wards a dark age. The coming years and decades are a time of decline for the w hole world. Spengler the only real prophet of time predicted well that the West will enter into a Caeserian age towards the end of the twentieth century. The West is falling, that is obvious to most serious scholars, and let us assume tha t India and China are likely to see some material prosperity, the imperative que stion remains what will happen to Islam?

In the short term, Islam will see an age of reassertion, as a result of populat ion dynamics, poverty, insecurity, western hard and soft power, in addition to i nternal muslim psychological reactions to anxiety based on sociological constrai nts. It is natural to pray more when scared, isolated, challenged in the name o f pride. Determinism and predestinarianism will find root. This is nothing new , Islam has been making a come back for almost eighty years now, the question is if the pace will maintain itself or will the tide slow down. It is my belief, and the data to support it is scant, that the 'return of Islam' will fade in the years and decades to come. If the Islamic world can find stable democracy fram ework along with the civil basis of social democracy, then in the long term it m ay face a situation comparable to the one faced by Christianity in Europe today. The Islamic World is no resilient Europe, and it may actually take a lesser of an incentive for Islam to withdraw its naked teeth. Once the beast is fed with food and vote, it will fall asleep. If on the other hand if it is poked sharpl y, then it is likely to break its cage. At the moment the hope is for food and ballot, otherwise in Islam's resurgence lies a counter-resurgence of other major religions, and the dark age of mankind will be one where battles will be fought on the field of great God myths.

In Summary, mankind is getting ready to take a deep dive into the abyss of relig ious darkness. Islam versus Counter-Islam will be its defining feature. Neithe r China, nor India, neither America nor Islam will save humanity from the age of Primitivism that lies ahead. Islam as a spiritual entity may survive as will C hristianity, Budhaism, and Hinduism, but it will be anything but Islam. A futur e reformation of Islam will be nothing more than a variant of future day paganis m.
