We have addressed this question in previous blogs, but here is one aspect of it.

COMMENT: It sure is, Philip walked with amazing power from God. Philip went down to the city of Samaria and proclaimed the Messiah to them. 6The crowds with one accord listened eagerly to what was said by Philip, hearing and seeing the signs that he did, 7for unclean spirits, crying with loud shrieks, c ame out of many who were possessed; and many others who were paralyzed or lame w ere cured. RESPONSE: I consider what Philip did as standard Christianity. So the average Christian ca n walk in this same amazing power of God. It is what we are made for. First we have to settle the chief issue, it is not you getting more power, but y ou releasing more power of God you already have.

Philip, like you, had the same Holy Spirit Jesus had, and still has. Philip had no more power from God than Jesus, you or I have, because Holy Spirit is the pow er of God. If you have Holy Spirit, you have the same power Jesus had, has and P hilip had and I assume still has.

If you have Holy Spirit, you have the entire universe creating power of God ther e is. If you have Holy Spirit, you have all He is. He is a person. You do not ge t half a person, you either have Him or not. And Holy Spirit is the power of God . Not more, not less, the same.

For a Christian, it is not the power, because by definition a Christian is one w ho has Holy Spirit dwelling in them. Therefore a Christian has the entire power of God dwelling them. Not some, not a little, not a portion, but all. This is th e anointing of God you get when you get born again. It is the ability to release that Holy Spirit dunamis/power, mostly which comes from knowledge and confidenc e, that is exhibited in miracles like Philip did, and we call faith.

The purpose of my books is to give Bible tools that work to build the necessary knowledge and then the necessary confidence and boldness so Holy Spirit can do w hat He so longs to do through you: get the devil out of this world and make Heav en on Earth through you. Healing is just a small part of it.

So there is nothing Philip did that you do not already possess the power to do. Philip did it by Holy Spirit, the same Holy Spirit you have. So use Philip as an example of what you are made for and can do. A better example is the risen Chr ist because:

1 John 4:17 Herein is our agape/love made perfect, that we may have boldness in t he day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world [now, today, not l ater]. 18 There is no fear in agape/love; but perfect agape/love casteth out fea r: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in agape/love. 19 We agape/love him, because he first agape/loved us.

2 Cor 1:18 But as God is true, our word toward you was not yea and nay. 19 For th e Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us, even by me and Sil vanus and Timotheus, was not yea and nay, but in him was yea. 20 For all the pro mises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us. 21 No w he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God; 22 w ho hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.

You, as a Christian, as sealed with a seal you did not make, but God did. You di d not make it, and you cannot break it.

Eph 1:12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Chris t. 13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your soteria/salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise (of Abraham), 14 which is the earnest of our in heritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of h is glory.

Eph 4:29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which i s good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. 30 A nd grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of rede mption. Holy Spirit is sealed in the Christian as a promise that God will get in Heaven what He paid so dearly for, the body, blood, spirit and soul of Jesus, for our r edemption. The only thing you can do is determine the quality of Holy Spirits jou rney with you. You can bless Him or grieve Him, but He is not going anywhere.

The great blessing of Abraham is Holy Spirit dwelling in humans.

Gal 3:5 He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles amo ng you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? 6 Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness. 7 Know y e therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. 8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith , preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. 9 So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.

10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is writ ten, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. 11 But that no man is justified by the law in th

e sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith. 12 And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them. 13 Christ hat h redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is wr itten, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: 14 That the blessing of Abrah am might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the pr omise of the Spirit through faith.

26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28 There is neither J ew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if ye be Christs, then are ye Abrahams seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Gal 4:4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made o f a woman, made under the law, 5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. 6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent fo rth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

Notice that Holy Spirit in Gal 3:8-9 God tells us the gospel is men getting bles sed. In verse 14, God tells us the blessing is Holy Spirit. And in Gal 4: 6 God tells us He has made us adopted sons by our faith in Jesus and therefore put Hol y Spirit into your heart. This is a onetime action we call getting born again or m ade a new creation in Christ Jesus. That is what makes you a Christian, Holy Spir it dwelling in a human. This is the redemption of God in Jesus.

1 Cor 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

2 Cor 6:16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the t emple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in the m; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Eph 2:21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temp le in the Lord: 22 in whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

John 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it se eth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

Rom 8:11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you , he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies b y his Spirit that dwelleth in you. 12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not t o the flesh, to zao/live after the flesh. 13 For if ye zao/live after the flesh,

ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall zao/live.

2 Tim 1:14 by the Holy Ghost which dwelleth in us.

Part of what makes you effective so you walk in the blessing is to hear Holy Spi rit continually shouting into our heart, You are loved of God!

Jesus is our example. Jesus working in people is seen in Acts. The full book of the acts of people inhabited by Holy Spirit will only be written after the Day o f Judgment. Knowing your potential because of the new birth in God is what start s to make your faith effective.

Philem 6 That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowle dging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.

And in expanded form: Philem 6 That the communication (manner of living unity wit h Holy Spirit dwelling in you and in others) of thy faith (now that you are a ne w creation in Jesus) may become effectual (powerful in internal change to put He aven in your soul in the image of Jesus, and external signs and wonders to bring Heaven to Earth) by the acknowledging (perceiving, understanding, knowing and d oing as a master craftsman so you can train others to grow into the full measure of the man Jesus Christ) of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus (b ecause of your new birth in Jesus so you now have the blessing of Abraham, Holy Spirit dwelling in your spirit).

And here is the wonder: 1 Cor 6:17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one sp irit. So Holy Spirit is not added to you like a new coat, but united in your spir it so there is not one bit of difference. The Spirit of Zoe Life is one with yo ur spirit. That is what a Christian is, and who you are.

I use the example of epoxy. There is an A part and a B part, but once you mix th em together there is a chemical reaction that is irreversible. The two parts of epoxy have become one. Holy Spirit in you in the born again process is such an e vent. Rom 11:29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

Eph 4:13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness o f Christ: 14 that we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carr ied about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning crafti ness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; 15 but speaking the truth in agape/lo ve, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

So our response is to be busy putting on and putting off. And yes, it takes diligent work.

Eph 4:21 If so be that ye have heard him (the Lord), and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus: 22 that ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; 23 And be renew ed in the spirit of your mind; 24 And that ye put on the new man, which after Go d is created in righteousness and true holiness.

Notice God does His part in the new birth as we believe God e dead. Now it is our part to continually put off the old n the new man you are now in Jesus and is just like Jesus. gain, now is the time to renovate (new) your soul into what after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

raised Jesus from th man and continually put o Your spirit got born a you really are, which

Or as Romans tells us: Rom 13:14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no t provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof (doubt, fear, unbelief, i nferiority, insecurity and poverty).

If you are not continually putting off the old man and putting on Jesus in your self image, you will not be able to grow into the promise of: Eph 4:13 Till we all co me in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a per fect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: 14 that we h enceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every w ind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; 15 but speaking the truth in agape/love, may grow up into h im in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

Thus Christian maturity is not any longer a matter of grace as much as it is a m atter of obedience to keep putting off and putting on.

Or put in modern terms: Failure to operate this device per the instruction manual cannot produce all the features of this device and the manufacturer is hereby h eld harmless for the failure of the full operation of this device.

The grace part is this: 1 Cor 3:11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 Now if any man build upon this foundation go ld, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; 13 Every mans work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; a nd the fire shall try every mans work of what sort it is. 14 If any mans work abid e which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. 15 If any mans work s hall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be sozo/saved; yet so as by fire. 16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit o f God dwelleth in you?

The grace part is you will survive the Day of Judgment to be with God eternally, but your works without God, called wood, hay and stubble, will not survive that Day. God has plans for you to only build works of gold, silver and jewels. What we do with this opportunity determines what works survive that Day. But you, yo urself, will be sozo/saved.

So stay in the Word of the Gospel Christ and Holy Spirit in you, the hope of the glory of God manifested in the Earth by you until your mind is renewed, and you w alk like Jesus, and call Philip a fellow laborer, delivering the glory of God to the Earth. This is included in the Fellowship of the Gospel.

And of course this is what my books are designed to help people walk in more of. Those that do, are doing more of what they are made for in Jesus.

Isnt it great that God has given us images of Jesus, Philip, Peter, Stephen and P aul to show us who we really are in Jesus.

So Philip walked in the same Holy Spirit and the same power you and I have. The issue is learning how to release He who is in us.

My response to the next question to follow next week- so look for How To Get More Power With God, Part 2.

Keep working the Word so God can Work! God Bless You and Yours in the Name of Jesus to be more Noble in Him (Acts 17:11 -12) Jesus is Lord of Heaven and Earth!
