Preamble: ARCOGUL started as a small co-operative in Chikhodra village in 1969 near Anand, to help the Cottonseed growers of this

area. The ARCOGUL is presently spread across 23 acres of land. The campus is located on National Highway No. 8, well protected with round the clock security and electronic weighing system. ARCOGUL increased its activities to the seven districts of Anand, Kheda, Panchmahal, Dahod, Vadodara, Narmada and Bharuch. ARCOGUL has a turnover base of around Rs. 120 Crores. The same is targeted to increase. ARCOGUL helped in the formation of 130 societies with a membership of 25,000 farmers covering 739 villages. Activities: Edible Oils: ARCOGUL pioneered Refined Cottonseed Oil as cooking media under ANAND brand in Gujarat around 35 years ago. The ARCOGULs branded products are ANAND Refined Cottonseed Oil, KIRANDouble Filtered Groundnut Oil, ANAND Refined Corn Oil and ANAND HEALTH Refined Sunflower Oil. The products are available in all sizes of consumer packs, which are distributed through network of distributors and retail outlets located in central and south Gujarat. ARCOGUL have One Refinery with 100 TPD processing the continuous process and have quite large base of oil storage, packaging stations for 500 ml. 1000 ml. Pet bottles; pouch; 5 lit. / 15 lit./ 15 kg. Volufill linear station of high speed and accuracy and adequate storage of packing material and finished goods. To add to the facilities, we have 5 lit. moulded jar making plant and 15 kg. square tinmaking plant of our own, which can meet the total need of material to pack oils. Needless to say that the supporting infrastructure at all levels has been of well-experienced and qualified personnels. Backed up by the supporting staff we have well equipped facilities of testing of crude oil as well as finished product, which is in-house. Condiments: ARCOGUL has branded Anand Natural Chilly Powder, Akhu Jeeru and Akha Dhana in 100 gm. & 200 gm. Packs. The raw material is drawn directly from the farmers and processed at its factory before packing. ARCOGUL has stood by quality & customer satisfaction so is the case with these Masalas. Freeze Dried Vegetables & Fruits: Under the brand name of Anand Natural ARCOGUL markets Free Dried Vegetables & Fruits. The product is ready to use and as good as fresh no loss of nutrients. The pack is in 40 gms.

Agriculture Marketing Services: ARCOGUL cultivated seeds, chemical & organic fertilizers, edible oils etc. are made available to these cooperative societies to meet the changing needs of its members. ARCOGUL entered in to an agreement with the Anand Agriculture University (AAU) to undertake seed production activities in the farmers fields. The fields are developed by the AAU. The AAU also agreed to provide all the technical support to the farmers to fulfill the objective of developing the good quality and high yielding variety seeds. To ensure quality of seeds, ARCOGUL has installed state of the art seed grader machine. The seeds produced are marketed in ANAND Brand. ARCOGUL has developed the surplus non-cultivated land located in its premises and used it for seed production. The ARCOGUL provided storage facilities of 10,000 MT fertilizers to GSFC, GNFC, KRIBHCO, IFFCO, Chambal Fertilizer Companies. As a result, during 2005-06, ARCOGUL has supplied around 1,07,600 MT of fertilizers to the farmers through its network. ARCOGUL is also in the business of marketing Organic Manures in ANAND Brand.
