Dear Parents and Children

Give up give thanks give away is our Lent theme and so far the children have tried to give something up and have also been giving thanks every week in school for all the lovely things that they have. Finally we are asking them to give something away but they need to earn your support to do so! We are trying to support the Open Arms drop in centre in Ryde which was set up last year by Churches Together. There is a big need for tinned and dried foods (tinned fish, meat, fruit, custard, dried pasta, rice, lentils, soup, rice pudding, long life milk, curry and pasta sauces etc.) to give to those in need and who use the centre. Next week we would like each class to collect as much as possible but the children need to do jobs for you to earn an item to bring in to school to teach them that they cant expect you to just provide things for them to donate. Perhaps laying the table could earn them a tin of peas or making their bed and tidying their room could earn a packet of pasta! Mrs. J Anderson and Mrs. M Sanderson
Dear Father, When we are tempted to be unkind and when we are tempted to be unfair, remind us to be loving and make us care for each other. Amen.
