Celebration of the Light at the New Moon and Full Moon.

The opposing forces of Spirit and Matter eternally wrestle for ascendancy in the universe, and for
control of the minds, hearts and souls of all living creatures.
Spirit’s presence, the symbol of God in nature - is blazing Light. When light floods the earth,
mankind is filled with greater love, optimism, hope and sure belief that all will be well! All lives
in the universe thrive, grow and evolve, when stimulated by light!
The agent of the Force of Materialism is darkness. When it rolls its veil over the planet, it
overpowers light and drives it to temporary exile under the onslaught of nightfall, clouds, cold
and ice. Then the psychic aura of the earth is prey to denizens who thrive in the dark - the demon
army of illusion and glamour. These negative forces although ever present, come into their power
in the absence of Light. They prey on those in whom the inner light is not strong, increasing
anxiety, depression and general negativity. In the lunar cycle, they are at their strongest in the
darkest period before the New Moon. Vampire myths are based on this truth. Powerful in the
dark, if they have not returned to their hiding places by the time the first ray of the Sun sweeps
the earth at dawn, they die! Darkness dies when light returns.
These opposing forces of Spirit and matter are symbolised by the Sun and Moon.
The Sun is a blazing star, a source of life, light and energy which nurtures and gives life to all
beings within its system. In comparison, the moon is a decaying form, a corpse from which all
life has long departed. It disturbs and pollutes the atmosphere on Earth. It steals light from the
Sun and parades across the night sky as the Moon Goddess, radiant in a garment of silver, in
order to seduce those who are captivated by surface illusion. But it is dead, and dark, and has no
light or life of its own!
Ironically, in its obsessive desire to be restored to life and to be beautiful once again, the Moon
destroys its own power. Evil thrives in the densest dark, so when the Moon reflects the light of
the Sun and floods the earth with “moon” light, it brings about its own demise.
Similarly, when the darkness in man’s material nature is flooded with the light of the Solar
Angel, it is purified and the separative aspect dies. And this is really what the heavenly drama is
all about. It portrays for humanity the dance of life which leads eventually to the mystic union of
Spirit-Soul and form!
In the Moon’s waning cycle, darkness lays claim to those in whom the inner light is weak! But at
the New Moon, the Light returns! The New Moon is a celebration of the return of the Light - of
the loving Christ Presence on earth. In the time of man’s greatest need, in the dark night of the
soul, a Saviour will appear, and this promise is symbolised by the light of the New Moon.
During the waxing phase of the Moon, light increases, God-force grows. The inner of light
humanity is replenished and strengthened. If this period is used consciously to invoke more Light
and Goodness in the nature, it greatly magnifies the amount of Light which is absorbed and
retained. This builds up a shield of light which wards off the Lunar Lords, and which protects its
owner during the waning period of the Moon. This dark cycle of the Moon symbolises those
times in our lives which are challenging and demanding, and which is made easier to endure if
our inner light is strong.
The Full Moon symbolises the return of the Christ to Earth! At the exact moment of each full
moon, the Christ Presence is at its most powerful. For a moment in time and space, negative
force is blocked, and the Earth is bathed in the pure and beautiful energies streaming in from
different constellations and planets. These divine blessings inspire and uplift mankind, they
strengthen his inner spiritual nature, they bless the planet life as a whole.
We are told that the New World Religion will follow the Full Moon cycle. A doorway opens into
the cosmos at the exact time of the Full Moon, and in order to pull in as much of the love and
light which is available at this critical moment, the spiritual Hierarchy goes into deep meditation,
providing a channel the incoming force. Groups who join in with this alignment, distribute this
cosmic Star Light to Humanity and to the planet as a whole. It is a great act of service by all
those who participate. The more potent the power of the collective meditation, the greater the
amount of Light which is invoked and received, the sooner will Christ will return to Earth! This
is the immediate goal.
