HISTORY
1930S- The first Philippine air transport companies were created in the primarily as a means of travel and freight delivery between the nation's scattered islands. Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines- formerly known as Air Transportation Office. CAAP is a government agency under the Department of Transportation and Communications responsible for implementing policies on civil aviation to assure safe, economic, and efficient air travel. It also investigates aviation accidents in the country. Philippine Aerial Taxi Company (PATCO)- Pioneer in the aviation industry which was granted a 25-year charter by the Philippine legislature in 1931 for both domestic and international flights. Known as the Philippine Airlines today. Philippine Airlines- the official flag carrier of the Philippines, also tagged as the Asias first airline to cross the Pacific, it is the pioneer of domestic airline with 70 years of history that is steeped in tradition and modernity. Majority of the shares in this company is owned by business tycoon Lucio Tan. March 1941- First flight of Philippine Airlines bound for Baguio with 5 passengers on board using their Beech 18 aircraft. Cebu Pacific Air- established on March 1988 owned and headed by Lance Gokongwei. Currently, it is the countrys leading domestic carrier serving the most domestic destinations with 34 domestic flights, and 17 international destinations in 12 countries, the largest number of flights and routes.

Airphil Express- formerly PAL Express and Air Philippines a sister company of Philippine Airlines and is their answer to Cebu Pacifics dominance in low cost travel market in the Philippines. Zest Airways- formerly known as Asian Spirit which was the first airline run by a cooperative founded by Antonio "Toti" Turalba, Emmanuel "Noel" Oate and Archibald Po. In 2008, Asian Spirit was sold to AMY Holdings controlled by Alfred M. Yao, resulting to transition to Zest Airways believed to be derived from Yaos flagship business Zest-O. Southeast Asian Airline or SEAir- majority-owned by local investors - 60% by the Lopezes, 10% by Nikos Gitsis and Iren Dornier at 30%. The airline was registered with the Clark Special Economic Zone to operate services in the Clark-Manila-Subic area and to tourist destinations throughout Luzon and the Visayas regions. It has had continual route expansion and opened a hub in Zamboanga City in 2002.

Baggage Allowance and Rules and Regulations of the Airline Company Philippine Airlines CHECKED-IN BAGGAGE - The passenger shall affix his name, address, or other identifications to the baggage prior to delivery to Carrier. The passenger shall not include in Checked Baggage money, jewelry, precious metals, silverware, negotiable papers, securities or other valuables, business documents, passports and other identification documents or samples. These items, as well as medications or prescriptions, should be carried personally by the passenger. Fragile or perishable articles will be checked only at passengers risk. Scratches, nicks or dirt may appear on a baggage despite care in handling. Carrier does not assume liability for normal wear and tear to baggage. HANDCARRIED BAGGAGE - In addition to the free baggage allowance provided herein, each passenger may carry without charge one (1) piece of hand baggage weighing not more than seven (7) kgs. (15.4 lbs.) Suitable for placing in the overhead rack of the particular aircraft provided the maximum dimensions (sum of length + width + height) of any carry on item shall not exceed 45 inches (115 cm.). An incapacitated passenger may request that their own folding wheelchair or assistive device be carried in the passenger cabin where appropriate storage facilities are available. Such requests will be handled on a first come, first served basis. UNCLAIMED BAGGAGE/ITEMS - Left-behind baggage/items whether checked or hand carried must be claimed from the carrier within thirty (30) days from the date of

arrival at the destination or from the date on which the aircraft ought to have arrived otherwise the same shall be disposed by the carrier at its discretion. Cebu Pacific Air- Only 1 piece of baggage is allowed to be carried on board provided that it does not exceed the dimensions 56cm x 36cm x 23cm for Airbus flights and 56cm x 35cm x 20cm for ATR flights. It should not weigh more than 7kg for all flights except in Caticlan which has a maximum hand baggage weight of 5kg. Items determined by their personnel to be of excessive weight or size or of an offensive nature will not be permitted on-board. Excess Baggage Fee: 120.00 Airphil ExpressCabin Baggage: Each passenger (except infants not occupying an aircraft seat) is permitted 1 item of Cabin Baggage and 1 other small item (e.g. laptop, handbag, small suit-pack etc). Dimensions of the main item must not exceed 56cm (width) + 36cm (height) + 23cm (depth) or 45 linear inches. a. If the small item is a suit-pack, then it must be non-rigid and unfolded, and the dimensions must not exceed 60cm (width) + 114cm (height) + 11cm (depth). b. Total weight of all Cabin Baggage must not exceed 7kg. c. Each piece must be able to fit under the seat in front of you or fit in an enclosed storage compartment in the cabin of the aircraft. d. f any piece of baggage does not comply with any of these conditions, it must be checked in to the aircraft hold. Baggage Allowance: 15kg Excess Baggage Fee: 160.00 Checked in Baggage: Cabin Baggage limits are strictly applied so passengers who have more Baggage than the applicable Cabin Baggage Allowance conditions and charges apply. Charge for excess baggage shall apply and shall be paid for accordingly upon check in. Zest Airways- The passenger may carry only one (1) piece of hand-carried baggage with a weight of not more than three (3) kilograms and outside dimensions not to exceed 45 inches per passenger. Baggage Allowance: 15 kgs Excess Baggage Fee: PHP 80 (+12% VAT) / kg

SEAIR Checked Baggage For safety and comfort, passengers traveling on SEAIR are allowed one (1) piece of checked baggage free of charge limited to the following weight and size and weight limitations: Domestic Flights-maximum weight of 10 kgs and the maximum size is 59 inches (length +width + height); International Flights maximum weight of 15kgs. Hand-Carried Baggage. Passengers traveling on SEAIR are allowed one (1) piece of Hand-Carried Baggage plus an additional hand-bag or laptop free of charge subject to the following limitations on size and weight: maximum dimensions of 20cm x 32cm x 45cm and maximum weight of3kg. Special items such as wheelchairs and assistive devices, bicycles, golf equipment, surfboards, and scuba equipment are not included in a passengers free baggage allowance and are subject to additional charges. Meal Services Mabuhay Class/ Business Class of Philippine Airlines provide free meals onboard and before boarding. Meals are available at Mabuhay lounge at the airports, exclusively for Mabuhay class with Mabuhay Miles passengers only. Fiesta Class/ Economy Class of Philippine Airlines- provide free meals on-board as part of the inclusion the fare purchased. Infant/Child Meal * Baby Meals for Children below 2 years of age and Childs Meals for Children aged 2 to 11 years old shall be provided UPON REQUEST on all our international flights. Request should be made at least 24 hours before flight departure date. In the absence of request, Adult meal will be provided to a child passenger and no meal will be given to an Infant passenger Note: Adult meal is only provided for children passengers occupying seats. Nut-Free Meal ** For nut-free special meal requests, please provide prior notice by calling reservations no later than 48 hours before your intended departure date. A passenger with nut allergy is required to secure a copy of the Carriers Notice which is available at any PAL ticket office. The Carriers Notice can also be downloaded for your easy reference.

Reservations All airline reservation must be made at least 24hrs before the desired date through authorized travel agencies, ticketing office, and through their own website. But all of the airlines in the country except Cebu Pacific Air only provide Book and Buy policy which you book a flight and pay through their website using Credit cards, Visa and Bancnet ATM cards as mode of payments. Cebu Pacific Air allows you to pay until midnight of the same day when you book a flight on their website which you can choose among their choices to pay through payment centers, LBC, Bayad Centers, BDO and Bancnet ATMs or credit cards. Passengers with Special Needs or Special Handling in boarding Philippine Airlines a. Passengers with Disabilities We will ensure that our services, facilities and equipment are in compliance with 14 CFR Part 382 Air Carrier Access Act, as well as existing Philippine laws on Passengers with Disabilities (PWD). We definitely do not discriminate against passengers on the basis of disability and our personnel are specifically trained to support the commitment to our passengers with disabilities. You may request for assistance from any of our ground staff for your travel requirements. May we explain, though, that, there are requests that should be made in advance as these services would require preparations for your safe and comfortable travel. b. Unaccompanied Minor certain rules and regulations that govern their acceptance on the flight. Children who are between the ages of two (2) to less than eight (8) years old must be accompanied by another passenger who is at least twelve (12) years old. Children who are between the ages of eight (8) to less than twelve (12) years old may travel unaccompanied provided they are brought to, and met at the airports of departure/arrival by an adult and a UM Handling Advice is accomplished. There is a fee for this type of service as this would entail coordination with both our ground and in-flight staff to ensure the safe and smooth trip of the child. Passengers who are between the ages of twelve (12) to less than fifteen (15) years old are considered young passengers and may travel alone. A request for a Meet and Assist can however be made to ensure their safe and smooth trip. For PAL international flights, a Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Travel Clearance must be obtained. Forms are available at DSWD field offices or may be downloaded online from the DSWD website. c. Expectant Mothers An expectant mother may be accepted for travel if she is not beyond 35 weeks (8 months and 3 weeks) pregnant. Clearance for air travel will be determined and indicated on the Expectant Mothers Information Sheet (EMIS) form. Expectant mothers need to fill up the EMIS form on a per flight basis.

Requirements: Expectant Mothers Information Sheet (EMIS) which is available at any PAL ticket office. The EMIS form can also be downloaded for your easy reference. Just click on the link provided at the right hand side of this page. Notes: Expectant Mother's Information Sheet (EMIS) needs to be accomplished by expectant mother up to the sixth (6th) month of pregnancy. EMIS form is valid for 7 days from the date of issuance. d. Infants Infants who are already two (2) years of age at the time of the return trip are required by regulation to have a seat hence parents or guardians are hereby notified to call reservation in order to reserve a seat for the infant on the scheduled flight subject to availability of seat and the payment of additional fare. The infant must travel with the accompanying adult to which the infants ticket is associated with. If the accompanying adult cannot travel with the infant, the infant may be allowed to travel with another adult qualified to accompany the infant under the law provided the reasons on why the accompanying adult cannot travel is due to medical, death or immigration problem only and supporting documents are submitted to PAL. Special Handling (CEBU PACIFIC) a. Pregnant Women It is the responsibility of pregnant passengers to advise the airline of the progress of their pregnancy during booking and upon check-in. Expectant mothers may be required to accomplish and submit a Special Handling Form as a precondition to acceptance for carriage depending on the stage of their pregnancy, thus: Pregnancy below 24 weeks: only the Special Handling Form is required

Pregnancy 24 to below 34 weeks: the Special Handling Form is required to be presented together with a medical certificate signed by the pregnant passengers personal OB-GYNE. Pregnancy 34 weeks and beyond: passenger the airline will refuse carriage of the pregnant

The airline may require the expectant mother to complete her travel within the validity period of the Special Handling Form. b.Unaccompanied Minors and Infants Children below 7 years old will not be accepted for carriage unless they are accompanied by a person at least 18 years of age. Children aged 7 to below 12 years old will be accepted only after the prescribed Unaccompanied Minor Handling Fee is paid Passengers may refer to the General Conditions for the accepted handling of unaccompanied minors and infants. Other details may be found on the website. Infants (a) sitting on an adults lap and (b) below two years of age will only be charged a minimal handling fee.

c.Incapacitated Passengers, Passengers with Reduced Mobility or Illness For safety reasons, Cebu Pacific Air will carry a maximum of four incapacitated passengers and passengers with reduced mobility or illness per flight. Such passengers should advise the airline of their special needs and request special assistance upon flight booking so that the airline can make the necessary arrangement or inform the passengers in advance if it is unable to provide the special requirements. The airline may refuse carriage of passengers with special needs upon check-in if the airline was not given prior advice of their requirements and the airline is unable to provide the same. The passengers must submit to the airline duly accomplished Special Handling Forms before the scheduled flight. SPECIAL HANDLING (AIR PHIL) a.Pregnancy If you are pregnant: You are required to advise us of the progress of your pregnancy at the time of booking and again at the check-in counter. We reserve the right to refuse you carriage should you fail to advise us that you are pregnant. a. Pregnancy up to 25 weeks (inclusive): We will accept without a doctor's certificate subject to the passenger signing an Expectant Mother's Information Sheet (EMIS). b. Pregnancy between 26 weeks to 32 weeks (inclusive): You shall submit a doctor's certificate confirming the number of weeks of pregnancy and that you are fit to travel. The said certificate shall have been issued not more than seven (7) days before the schedule flight departure date. You will be required to sign a EMIS. c. Pregnancy 33 weeks and above: We refuse carriage

b.Unaccompanied Child: Children below age 8 will not be accepted for carriage unless they are with an accompanying passenger. c.Unaccompanied Minors: Children aged 8 to 12 years of age at the time of carriage may travel unaccompanied during flight provided they are accompanied by an adult and are properly endorsed to Carrier at check-in. Provided further, that the unaccompanied children, who are traveling unaccompanied, will have an assured pick-up at the point of destination. d.Passengers with reduced mobility/medical condition: For safety reasons, we can carry only a maximum of 4 passengers per flight who have reduced mobility provided that quadriplegic passengers are limited to not more than 2 per flight. Under certain circumstances we may require the passenger to travel with a companion.

Passengers with illnesses or a medical condition are required to submit a medical certificate at check in confirming that they are fit to fly. We reserve the right to determine your fitness to fly. For the safety of other passengers, we reserve the right to deny boarding to passengers suffering from infectious, contagious or chronic diseases. e.Passengers Requiring Special Assistance Passengers with specific requirements requiring special assistance and passengers with illnesses including those who are mentally-ill are requested to contact our call center at least 48 hours before the scheduled flight departure date to make a prior arrangement with us for the type of special assistance required. Failure to notify us will result in the service being unavailable upon your arrival at the airport and you being refused carriage. For health and safety reasons passengers with specific requirements must check-in at the airport. f.Travel with a companion: We may require that you travel with a companion if: it is essential for safety; or a. the passenger is unable to assist in his own evacuation from the aircraft; or b. the passenger is unable to understand safety instructions c. Carriage of Wheelchairs- Your fully collapsible manual wheelchair may be carried in the hold at no extra charge. Carriage of wheelchairs shall be subject to such other requirements as we may implement from time to time. In all instances, the carrier reserves the right to determine if a passenger with a medical condition is fit to fly. g. Children and Infants less than 16 days old: We will not carry infants less than sixteen (16) days old. a. Children requiring supervision will not be regarded as able to travel independently on the basis that they may cause a disruption or endanger themselves or others if traveling unaccompanied. Under no circumstances will a child below the age of 7 years and 11 months be accepted for carriage unless traveling with an Accompanying Passenger. b. An infant under the age of two (2) years at the date of travel may be carried for a fee provided the infant is accommodated in the lap of an Accompanying Passenger. Only one infant is permitted per Accompanying Passenger. We reserve the right not to carry infants less than sixteen (16) days old. No collapsible prams or strollers are permitted in the aircraft cabin. Passengers are required to bring their own baby food and baby nappis as these are not available on board. c. For infants not requiring their own seat, proof of age (under 2), is required at check-in (ie passport check) SPECIAL HANDLING (ZEST AIR) a. Expectant Mothers An expectant mother may be accepted for travel if she is not beyond 32 weeks or 240 days (8 months and 3 weeks) pregnant. She has to fill out an Expectant Mothers Information Sheet (EMIS) which is available at any of our ticket office. The EMIS form can also be downloaded from our website for your easy reference. Clearance for air travel will be determined and indicated on the form.

b.Unaccompanied Minors Children below 8 years old will not be accepted for carriage unless they are accompanied by a person of at least 18 years of age. Children aged eight (8) to below twelve (12) years of age may be allowed to travel alone provided that a service fee shall be assessed on each unaccompanied minor for travel. The unaccompanied minor service fee shall be PHP500 for domestic flights and USD20 for international flights. Details about the minor's meeting party at destination and other pertinent information must be arranged by the parent or guardian with our reservations office or ticket office at the time of booking. The UM form may be downloaded on this website for your easy reference. c.Infants Infants at least 30 days old may be accepted for travel with prior reservations. We follow OneInfant-Per-Adult Policy. Infants who turn two (2) at the time of travel shall be required to occupy seats for safety reasons. Proper identification should be presented upon check-in, and since infants does not have IDs, birth certificates are asked upon booking and will also be asked upon check-in, this is to protect our passengers for possible child trafficking. d.Special Assistance Acceptance for carriage of incapacitated passengers, passengers with illness or passengers requiring special assistance is subject to arrangement with our office three (3) days prior to their scheduled departure flights. Without prejudice to our check-in conditions, passengers with disabilities who have advised us of any special requirements they may have at the time of the booking of their seats and have been accepted by us upon our reasonable determination that we have the necessary facilities and the ability to meet their special needs and requirements shall not be subsequently refused carriage on the basis of such disability or special requirements. SPECIAL HANDLING (SEA AIR) A. Accompanied Children Infants and children with age up to twelve (12) years old at the time of travel will only be accepted for transportation when accompanied by a passenger at least eighteen (18) years of age. SEAIR reserves the right not to carry infants under seven (7) days old. SEAIR may in its absolute discretion decide to carry such infants on its flights when such carriage is expressly sanctioned in writing by a medical practitioner and when the parent of the infant signs a limited liability statement. B.Unaccompanied Children Anyone age thirteen (13) years old but below the age of eighteen (18) years may be accepted for carriage unaccompanied with a signed indemnity form at the point of check-in at each departure airport by a parent or a guardian. Parents and guardians must remain at the airport until the departure of the flight. Prevailing laws of each country may differ in respect of the carriage of unaccompanied children. Unaccompanied minors will be charged an administration fee in accordance with prevailing charges and Tariffs of SEAIR. During schedule irregularities, SEAIR may refuse to provide connecting air transportation services at any destination to an unaccompanied child holding reservations. This may happen

where there is a reasonable likelihood that the child will not make a flight connection, and therefore require overnight accommodations. C.Expectant Mothers A. Pregnancy less than twenty four (24) weeks, SEAIR will transport the passenger. B. Pregnancy twenty four (24) weeks but less than thirty five (35) weeks, SEAIR will transport the passenger with a doctors certification confirming that she is fit to travel for the flight. Such certification must be dated within seventy two (72) hours of the scheduled flight departure time. C. Pregnancy thirty five (35) weeks and over, SEAIR will refuse the transportation of the passenger. D.Passengers Requiring Special Assistance Passengers with special needs are generally required to be accompanied by another fare paying passenger of at least fifteen (15) years of age. SEAIR is not able to provide supervision for those passengers who cannot travel alone but SEAIR is able to provide limited assistance when requested. There may be a fee for some services that SEAIR has to obtain from a third party. The services may not be available on all routes. Passengers must inform SEAIR of the special assistance required upon booking the seat. Otherwise, the special assistance may not be available or the passenger may be denied boarding. E.Reduced Mobility Passengers For safety reasons, SEAIR can carry only a maximum of two (2) passengers per flight who have reduced mobility and require special assistance at the airport. Such passengers are required to be accompanied by another fare paying passenger of at least fifteen (15) years of age. SEAIR must be notified of the condition/requirements upon booking the flight. Failure to notify SEAIR as provided herein will result in the service being unavailable on passengers arrival at the airport or the passenger may be denied boarding. F.Visually impaired passengers May be permitted for carriage provided they are each assisted by a personal able-bodied helper. They are not permitted for travel if they have no personal assistance available and they are solely reliant upon airline or ground handling staff for assistance. Such passengers must notify SEAIR of their condition/requirements upon booking the seat. Limits may apply.

Policies Electronic devices such as dvd players and mp3 are accepted and can be used during the flight. But electronic device such as cellular phones and all electronic equipment that transmits radio signals that interfere with the aircrafts navigation system must be turned off and never be used during the entire duration of the flight. Bomb jokes within the vicinity of the airport and inside the aircraft is prohibited as regulated by the government.
