Preparation for the arrival of concrete. We arrived at around 8.30 in the morning.

The excavator is already in work digging a drain for the construction of walls and drainage pipes. The guy driving the excavator said that he's going to dig the pit on the left and use the soil that is dug up to be placed at the far right of the pit as it is less deep. Well, there's a flaw, which is the concrete that will be poured on top of the used soil. The concrete structure would have a weak base because it is placed on top of the used soil. A call is made in order to assure that what the driver is doing is correct but we have our doubts since he didn't look like a pro in handling the excavator and what he is doing. Moving on, we have office blocks that will be constructed. The ground floor is almost complete, having wooden stilts as column supports for concrete filling for the first floor. On the outside, 12 holes are dug for concrete columns, the 12 holes are divided into 4 holes per group, that means 3 groups. Roughly about 341 cm or 256 between the holes depending on how we calculate it, it kinda failed trying to mark the centre point for the column supports to be placed so the exact measurements is not known to me. On the inside, workers are rushing to get the moulds for the concrete pillars done. The woods to make the moulds are made from recycled woods from the supporting stilts. At the furnace area, they are changing the roofing to a new one. As for the first floor of the office area, it was supposed to be 3 and a half inches think(mayhaveforgotten) but it was lack of half an inch. There was no obvious defects in the columns to my eyes but there were lack of iron wires in three different areas.

Second day - Preparation for arrival of concrete and Arrival of concrete We went up to the first floor of the office block. There were adjustments made to prevent problems in overflowing of concrete.

The measurements of the height and breath of the wooden slabs are adjusted to the needed measurements and photos are taken for evidence and to avoid getting cheated. A small crane lift arrives, about the size of a lorry. Max load it is 7000kg. Dad was expecting a larger crane lift maybe with a load limit of 12000kg or larger. This happened because the person in charge wanted to save on the cost but it backfired in terms of cost for overtime of the workers. After a full 5 hours, we came back and there is two LaFarge company cement trucks arrived at the site and the workers resumed back their work. For the trench for water pipes and construction of concrete walls it is complete.
