This essay discusses the benefits of providing tuition assistance in a Bachelor of Science in Health Administration program which focuses on medical focused business management and communication.

In todays global economy, individuals of all ages are deciding to advance their knowledge by earning a degree in higher education. This opportunity has become a stronger possibility by providing individuals the opportunity to take courses online versus having to attend classes on site at a college campus. Additionally, online courses provide individuals the ability to work full time while advancing their knowledge and education, giving them a better opportunity to move up within their organization. The demand for healthcare administration professionals continues to rise as the healthcare industry continues to expand. With the profits that our organization has earned in the past year, I think it is in our best interest to apply this money to help our employees advance their education by providing tuition reimbursement while they are employed with our company. A tuition reimbursement plan can help increase the awareness and understanding of our organization to our employees who choose to advance their education. Taking business and communication focused courses can help employees see what opportunities they can gain by advancing their education. Employees who may only be seeking a job may think about attending school to develop their job into a company career. Taking courses that are centralized on business etiquette, communication, management, and leadership skills within a healthcare business environment will facilitate employees to be strong leaders. A Bachelor of Science in Health Administration is a dynamic and integrated area of study that combines business education, management and communication. Students learn the interaction of market forces within the internal and external business world.

They acquire skills in leadership, problem-solving and handling dilemmas. It will strengthen their proficiencies in critical thought, interviewing, and public affairs. A Bachelor of Arts in Business Communication includes class subjects such as corporate communication, advertising and marketing, consumer behavior, small group communication, corporate persuasion, legal and ethical issues, and much more. Students mature into successful communicators in multicultural business surroundings. The demand for healthcare services continues to rise. In the meantime, difficult economic times require better operational proficiency for healthier boundaries as well as fulfilling patient care and managing requirements. Benefits include enhanced patient care, operational proficiency, improved patient and employee compliance, decreased costs, and the ability to provide new and innovative patient care. (Lazar and Trost 2009) The Bachelor of Science in Health Administration (BSHA) Program is designed to combine a structure of general education courses with a health care curriculum to provide the graduate with the fundamental knowledge required to enter todays demanding health industry. The BSHA curriculum is designed around the essential basis of knowledge, understanding, and skills recognized as significant to a continuous growing and diverse health care field. Assignments within the curriculum include material in areas such as: management, finance, legal and ethical guidelines, human resources, and information systems. Once a student has completed the foundation of the curriculum they will have the fortune to choose a focus that is designed to broaden their professional opportunities. The concentration on Health Management is designed

to broaden the students focus on health care management (). Courses will include material in leadership theory, the legal and regulatory standpoints in health care, competence planning, community health, and the introduction to health care policy. A Bachelor of Science in Health Administration provides several job opportunities such as: Office Manager, Nurse Manager, Health and Social Service Manager, Program Manager, Clinical Director, Director of Nursing, Medical Records Manager, Mental Health Program Manager, Nutrition Services Manager, Practice Administrator, as well as an advanced knowledge in the healthcare field to promote exceptional job performance. Graduates will have a strong, developed knowledge in the following areas: Administration and Management Awareness and understanding of business and management standards implicated in strategic planning, resource distribution, human resources modeling, leadership performance, production methods, and allocation of people and resources. Patient and Personal Service Awareness and understanding of policies and methods for providing patient and personal services. This includes evaluation of patient needs, fulfilling quality standards for services, and assessment of patient satisfaction. Personnel and Human Resources Awareness and understanding of policies and procedures for personnel employment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labor relations and negotiation, and personnel information systems.

Economics and Accounting Awareness and understanding of economic and accounting policies and practices, the financial markets, banking and financial analysis.

Law and Government Awareness and understanding of laws, statutes, government regulations, medical ethics.

Medical Awareness and understanding of the knowledge and procedures required to diagnose and treat patients illnesses and injuries. This includes symptoms, treatment alternatives, drug properties and interactions, and preventive health-care measures ().

Psychology Awareness and understanding of human behavior, actions, personality, and learning techniques to be able to properly assess and treat behavioral and mental illnesses.

They will develop a variety of abilities including oral comprehension and expression, problem sensitivity, written comprehension and expression, speech clarity, and deductive and inductive reasoning. Healthcare is one of the leading and greatest growing industries in the United States, expanding the need for highly-qualified individuals to manage medical facilities continue to rise. As a graduate of our Bachelor of Science in Health Administration program, someone can take advantage of this demand as well as their dedication and devotion for helping patients and valuable management skills. Students will develop healthcare-specific, business management strategies which can be applied to enhance and improve the success in our organization. With a Bachelors Degree of Science in Health Administration students and employees can apply their management and healthcare proficiencies to successfully help patients. Students who are provided with tuition assistance must remain employed with our organization while in school, as well as agree to further their career with us in an appropriately arranged time frame. As a result, our healthcare organization to have the ability function at its highest performance, it is vital that it is managed proficiently.
