I. Joining the Challenge

This link provides a brief video introduction to the National Bike Challenge: http://www.endomondo.com/campaign/national/videos

Register Your Workplace for the Challenge

The first step for workplaces joining the I Bike PHL Challenge is to register your workplace on Endomondos National Bike Challenge page. You can do this in three easy steps: 1. 2. 3. Go to: http://www.endomondo.com/registration/organizations Enter your business or organizations information If your organization provides email addresses, include that. For example @temple.edu or @wholefoodsmarket.com

For more information about Organization Participation go to: http://www.endomondo.com/campaign/national/orgguide Note: If employees register with their workplace email address, they will more easily be associated with the workplace. If someone does not have a workplace email or chooses to use their personal email, they can be associated with a workplace by entering the name of the workplace on the individual registration page.

Registering as an Individual for the Challenge

Use the steps below when instructing co-workers and friends on how to register: 1. 2. Go to: http://www.endomondo.com/campaign/national/ Click Join a. Click the box on the left if you have an Endomondo account b. 3. Click the box on the right if you do not have an Endomondo account

Fill out the information page a. Adding a workplace will attribute your miles to your workplace in addition to any team you are on. This field will auto-populate. Be careful not to use leading articles like A and The. For example, your workplace might not be listed as The University of Pennsylvania, but may already be listed as University of Pennsylvania. Try to avoid double-listing your workplace. b. Entering your average commute mileage will streamline the entering of commute riding later on. You can also download the Endomondo app for your mobile phone or device. This app will let you record your routes and automatically update your mileage to the challenge web page.

4.

IMPORTANT: Check the box to receive more information from the Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadel phia. This is how we know who has joined the Challenge at each workplace. Checking this box also makes you eligible for our local monthly raffle prizes, and allows you to receive I Bike PHL Challenge updates like locations of events and happy hours. Once registered you can: a. Continue to ride solo b. Join a team (10 people max per team) c. Start a team by becoming a team captain

5.

NOTES:

You can only belong to one team. Your points will count toward both your workplace and your team (if you have associated your profile with them).

TEAMS VS. WORKPLACES

The I Bike PHL Challenge allows you to ride on a team of up to 10 riders. Teams do not have to be associated with workplaces. Your team can be friends from outside of work, family, social, professional contacts--anyone! If you link your account to a workplace and join a team, your riding points will count towards both your team and workplace. If you wish to create a workplace team, do so! If your workplace has more than 10 employees, you can start intra-workplace teams such as Education Team or Jefferson Univ Third Floor Cruisers.
