Immigration Outline

Immigration is one of many issues facing Americans. Right now the United States is involved in a war in Iraq and Afghanistan and our leaders are looking to take us into Libya. All of this is for our safety here in this country, yet with all of our troops fighting in foreign lands, how many soldiers are here to protect our borders? The mainstream media does not report the issues facing this country or the states when dealing with immigration. It is controlled by the wealthy who are content on keeping the American public off balance. I read an article in which Mexican President Calderon said Mexico does not end at the border, wherever there is a Mexican, Mexico is there. These are powerful words from a President, whose country is very restrictive on immigration. Mexico only accepts about 3,000 immigrants each year and those who are allowed in are put through a tough screening process. Any job deemed good or high paying is saved for a citizen of Mexico. Thus, immigrants entering Mexico legally should not count on getting a good job, regardless of their education or country of origin. If you or I were to enter Mexico illegally, we would be felons. The Mexican Foreign Relations Secretary Luis Ernesto Derbez called the House Resolution (H.R.) 4437 stupid and underhanded. H.R. 4437 would make illegal entry into the United States a felony. Its okay for Mexico to consider illegal entry a felony but not the United States, I know why, we are getting the worst Mexico has to offer! This is a double standard but of course when dealing with the United States everyone expects us to turn the other cheek and bow down. An example of the illegal immigration issue; A report by the U.S. Border Patrol for the following dates; October 1, 2006 through August 31, 2007 stated that of the deportees; 127 were convicted for Kidnapping, 286 were convicted for Homicide, 430 were convicted for Sexual Assault, 789 were convicted for Robbery, 5078 were convicted for Assault and 10,843 were convicted for Drugs. Just imagine how many were not caught. And who is paying for these illegal alien convicts? You guessed it, you and I the taxpayer. This information is very important because of all deportable aliens between 1993 and 2000, Mexicans averaged 96%. For example; in 2000 the total identified/located deportable aliens was 1,814,729 and Mexicans made up 1,744,304 or 96% of that total.

The Department of Homeland Security estimates roughly 350,000 illegals cross the border each year. These numbers are low considering what the United States Border Patrol reports. Here is a fact everyone should know; More than 195,000 criminals were deported in 2010, a 70% increase over 2008 in the forced removal of immigrant criminals. In a report by the New American (2/19/2007) the Wisconsin DMV will issue a license to an illegal alien if they can show a birth certificate (from their country of origin) and proof of residency using a paystub, get this, a state welfare card or a utility bill. The article can be found on http://thenewamerican.com website. Titled; Illegal Immigrants in a State of Disarray. Illegal aliens are not able to legally get a Social Security Card, but they sure can get one illegally or just head up to Wisconsin and get one there. The ability to get a Social Security Card is important to the illegal alien because he or she can now be eligible for benefits. Imagine that, you and I work and pay into Social Security but an illegal, who gets a Social Security Card illegally can reap the benefits. But who says thats a problem, Washington doesnt, so why should we. A video on You-tube showed a man in a wheelchair who has filed over 500 lawsuits against small business owners in California. The man who is filing these lawsuits is, Alfredo Garcia, a 41 year old illegal alien. Garcia is a felon who was convicted for selling weapons, selling crack cocaine and vehicular burglary. In a sworn deposition he stated that he violated his parole by; snorting cocaine and smoking pot. He admitted that he is here illegally, has no green card and has purchased 2 illegal social security cards on the street. He is in a wheelchair due to an injury he sustained when he fell out of an avocado tree while he was intoxicated. I would like to know why he is allowed to still be in this country, why is he allowed to file lawsuits, why is his Lawyer Morse Mehrban not in jail for representing an illegal and why the Judges who hear these cases are not incarcerated as well. Garcia claims that these lawsuits help pay his bills, support him and his children. Go to You Tube and type in Illegal Immigrant Lawsuits and you will find this video. This is a travesty! Speaking about disabled people, I wonder who paid for Alfredos electric wheelchair. President Obama stated in his address to Congress on September 9, 2009 that there are also those who claim that our reform efforts would insure illegal immigrants. The reforms I am proposing would not apply to those who are here illegally. House Resolution 3962 Section 301 creates the government health insurance exchange and section 302 specifies that all individuals are eligible to obtain coverage through the

exchange unless they are enrolled in another qualified health care plan such as Medicare or Medicaid, veterans health care or some employer-provided coverage. There is no requirement that states an individual must be a legal citizen to purchase or participate in the health insurance on the government exchange. How convenient for our congress to forget to include that requirement. They claim they know what is right for us, but do they? They are looking for votes and illegal immigrants given amnesty equal votes. According to a report written by FAIR; Federation for American Immigration Reform, illegal immigration costs U.S. taxpayers about $113 billion a year. Of that amount, about $84 billion is absorbed by state and local governments. The annual outlay per legal head of household is about $1,000 and it does differ from state to state depending on the size of that states illegal population. Educating the children of illegals is about $52 billion a year and is mostly absorbed by the state and local governments. This is one of the largest costs to the American taxpayer. This is a shocker, most illegal aliens do not pay taxes. WOW! But those that do collect the taxes paid when they file a return. Also, many illegals are claiming tax credits which result in payments from the U.S. Treasury. No wonder we are 14 trillion in the RED. Now, if these illegals are to get amnesty like they did in 1986 the cost to the tax payer will rise even more. This is based on a couple of factors. First, the amnesty will keep unemployed Americans unemployed. These illegal aliens will not move any higher in the job ranks and the amount that they pay in taxes will be dwarfed by what it costs to keep them here. Secondly, if they are given amnesty, they will be eligible for Social Security and other welfare programs, those that they have not paid into. Want to give Social Security its final deathblow, give amnesty to these illegal aliens and it will crumble in a few short years. Third, take California for example, that states current budget deficit is $14.4 billion for fiscal 2010-2011. Illegal aliens cost that state about $21.8 billion a year. If my math is correct, if the federal government did their job, California would have a budget surplus of $7.4 billion. New York has a budget deficit of $6.8 billion. The illegal alien problem costs New York taxpayers $9.5 billion. Get rid of the illegal aliens and New York would be $2.7 billion in the black.

Of note, there has been media coverage concerning the labor unions in the state of Wisconsin and the collective bargaining that unions use to negotiate their contracts. These union members have been bashed and beaten up by a public that is not well informed. Its so easy to blame those that the government and media say have caused the problems. But when you look at the big picture and stop taking what you hear from career politicians you will see that unions are a necessary evil. We as tax payers want services but we dont want to pay for them. I beg anyone of you who works in insurance or finance, how about banking or any other career to go and pick up trash. Better yet, respond to a fire or the scene of an accident where the person has been decapitated. Become a police officer or a correction officer and put your life on the line every day. The point is, its not the state employees who are the blame for the states or this countrys problems. Start looking at the government, the people who you elect to run your state and run this country. That is where the problem lies. Illegal aliens are a big part of this countrys financial woes. Not your public servants! Its time for Americans to stand and tell the government, enough! no more politics as usual. So many times we hear the left blaming the right, the republicans blaming the democrats, bi-partisan politics. Really? I have a novel idea for those who are elected by the people, do what is right for the people. One great way to start is by doing away with illegal aliens. Send them back and make sure that they stay there. Do what you have been elected to do, ensure the Constitution of the United States is adhered to. That isnt too much to ask, after all, its your sworn oath, your sworn duty. Go back and read the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Educate yourself and do the right thing.
