Task 3a Appropriate methods in order to review current leadership requirements of the Dabur India Ltd: To review the leadership

requirements, there are a certain methods that are available for Dabur India Ltd. They are as follows: Blake and Moultons Managerial grid: Among several methods that are available, Blake and Moulds Managerial grid is considered to be a review method for leadership requirements. As per this Blake and Moulds Managerial grid method, all the leadership and managerial styles are reviewed on the basis of two main rules. They are: 1. Concern for Result and 2. Concern for People. In case of Concern for result, the manager makes sure to divert all energy accomplished from its tasks in a given period of time and this is the one that is show on the horizontal axis on that of the grid. In case of Concern for People, importance is given to the employees and also their needs. This Concern for People is represented on the grid on the vertical axis. Narration of this grid by Barratt and Mottershead is, Matrix of the Managerial Style.

Inside the grid, the numbers that are mentioned are the degrees of concern for the manager. For example: If there are a few managers whose ratings are (9,1) it means that they practice Autocratic style and show concern for the employees working under them. In a similar way, the rating of (9,1) also depicts the Democratic behaviour of the managers. And this is referred by some of the authorities are a Country Club Management. 360 Feedback: Mullins said that, The 360 feedback idea is about involving feedback and appraisal from various groups within the work situation where in the bosses, subordinates, peers and internal and external customers are all involved. The individuals or the organizations strengths and weaknesses are all highlighted as a purpose of 360 feedback (like Dabur). It includes a questionnaire for self-assessment. We can overcome the organizations (Daburs) weakness and also the strengths of an organization can be exploited with the help of this feedback.

Management by Objective is also known as MBO. This MBO is a method that is commonly used in the review of the management and leadership styles. Mullins said that, MBO is considered as a management system in which we aim at something relating to the goals of the organization to that of the individual performance and also aimed at the development which involves in all the levels of management (like that in Dabur India Ltd). MOB is a very attractive system which provides great opportunity for the staff in order to accept greater responsibility and also to achieve personal contribution at a higher level.

Task 3b A Plan for the development of required leadership for the future situations of Dabur India Ltd: It is very well known that a good leader is the one who is always prepared for any challenge that is of any kind. Here in Dabur India Ltd, we also believe in the same. This leader makes sure to act quickly and accurately in any kind of a situation. This good leader is the one who takes proper and right decisions for the sake of the organization and at the right time in order to make the organization grow big. Listed below are a few future situations where Dabur India Ltd will need a firm leadership or a good leadership. Conflict Resolution: Conflicts cannot be stopped from occurring between an individual and an organization like Dabur. We may feel that these are conflicts and these should be stopped but it is important for us to know that these are the conflicts that are sometimes useful in creating new ideas at Dabur India Ltd. Sometimes they also happen to be a week point in Daburs management and pin pointing Daburs lapses. It so happens that these conflicts leave a few bad impressions and whatever may be the matter or a reason, these conflicts should be dealt smoothly and resolved. Therefore, this is the reason why there is a need for a leader to resolve the problems that occur due to any conflicts in Dabur. And these conflicts can be resolved in any of the way that the leader feels is good. It can be in Democratic Style or an Autocratic Style. All that matters is a resolution. Merger and Acquisition: For an organization like Dabur India Ltd, merging and acquisition play a very important role and it is also said to be a very important decision that needs to be made before merging or acquiring. There has to be accuracy in calculation and also need to have an insight of the trends of the market. For this main reason, there is a need for a leader with a good vision of future and both the companies and also to thinking about the essentials in this matter. The state of the employees of Dabur or Dabur itself should be foreseen before merging or acquiring. Recession: On an account of a larger scale, there was no recession concept for a couple of years in Dabur. But now as we see, there are many popular economies of the world that are in trouble and facing a lot of difficulties today because of a Recession that had an impact on them and are still suffering. Economists say that it is now the only chance for companies or organizations to control their budge till they overcome this recession period. Therefore, Dabur makes sure that there is a strong leader who has got a clear cut policy about recession in order to be cautious in future if any such recession occurs. It is also a true test for a great leader to overcome this recession.

Adaptation for Change in Technology, Taste and Performance: According to law of nature, change is something that is unchangeable. For certain organizations, it is a bit difficult for adapting to change which is cause due to various factors. But Dabur has always been successful in adapting to changes as it believes in delivering services or products to customers as per their demand. A great leadership is most important here as the employees will not be willing to change as they are used to doing work in a standard way and felt comfortable carrying the same method. Therefore, it there is a leadership that will make sure to change these employees use technology, change their taste and also needs to makes sure that the performance also improved or reaches up to the mark as done in Dabur. By this sincere leadership, the whole organization becomes successful. Natural Disaster: A leadership is important in another important situation which is cause by natural disasters and Dabur makes sure to possess a good leadership in this matter too. This period where a natural disaster was hit, makes all the employees and the organization to be an ambiguity state. There needs to be a strong leader and make sure that all the work in the organization like Dabur start running in the normal way that it used to by taking careful decisions (for example: if only a particular state by name Delhi is hit by an earth quake, the remaining states should be able to function its operations in a normal mode and the functions of Delhi unit will start functioning when it is the right time for it to start).

These are the reason for Dabur to make sure that there is an effective leadership in order to overcome all the difficulties and it should also be capable to restore the organizations and employees confidence which it mostly does in most cases and thats why it is said to be one of the best companies in India.
