Introduction
Many households are now likely to have more than one PC-compatible computer. Ideally it would be useful for each to have its own printer, though budgets may not stretch to this. In many cases, though, it may be rare for both computers needing access to the printer at the same time. Since plugging and unplugging a printer between computers soon becomes tedious, a switch or a multiplexed printer sharing unit can provide a better solution. A switch works fine, of course, but it is not ideal as it requires manual intervention - and inevitably there is a tendency to forget to operate it.

The 1N4148 diodes are extremely small, glass, and most likely have just the Polarity marking. The current flow is towards the band. That is, when the banded end is made negative, current flows. And, in sharp contrast, when that end is made positive, current does not flow. Resistance is use to drop voltage to operate LEDs.

When pc 1 USB DATA CABLE connected to printer sharing unit then green LED glow ,it means pc 1 connection to printer sharing unit is healthy( pc 1 is connected). when pc 2 USB DATA CABLE connected to printer sharing unit then red LED glow, it means pc 2 connection to printer sharing unit is healthy(pc 2 is connected). and then connect to printer sharing unit to printer. When switch is selected on pc 1 then we can use PC 1 with printer .when switch is selected on PC 2 then we cab use PC 2 with printer. When switch is selected at OFF position ,no communication with any of computer.

Applications of printer sharing unit

The use of printer sharing is to connect two computers with one printer and vice-versa. And also use as USB sharing of all devices : Printer pen drive storage devices USB camera

Advantages:-
