COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT OF EC NOTICE VIII Semester Project Synopsis Guidelines

This is to inform all the students of final year that the presentation of synopsis/Abstract is to be submitted on or before 13th February 2012 should consist of the following. 1. Formulation of the problem/problem statement. 2. Relevant literature. 3. Implementation details [viz Block diagram, Hardware & Software requirements]. 4. Expected Result. 5. Application of the Project. 6. Future scope in the improvisation of Project (optional). 7. References [Books, Journals, IEEE papers]. The synopsis is to be prepared in a paragraph text form without headings and with reference numbers required wherever. The font size is 12 and type is times roman with 1.5 spacing. The maximum word count should not exceed 500. Before taking the final print, the approval of the concerned guide is mandatory. However it is also instructed that a document copy signed by guide is to be submitted to the department. The necessary literature and data sheets for the project should be produced during preliminary seminar.

This is to inform all the final year students to note the following regarding project work. 1. Projects with only Software code and without hardware modules / systems will not be accepted. 2. Module has to be submitted to the College after the final demonstration and Viva-Voice irrespective of cost and type of devices used. 3. Candidates who are working in college are required to note that they have to work in analog lab and the resources available in the Department can be utilized with prior permission of the Guide and the HOD. However if the systems are required then the students have to get their own systems and set up in analog lab. The Department may be able to provide only a limited computer time. 4. Half implemented project or any deviation in the proposed work in synopsis is liable to be rejected. 5. The students are directed to follow the schedule strictly failing which marks will be deducted for late submission. 6. Students doing project under the guidance of Avembsys Pvt. Ltd are required to be in touch with Prof. Zahira Tabassum and Prof. Imtiyaz Ahmed B.K and put forward their requisition through either of them.
