Research Analysis And Data Interpretation

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

Research:
Research in common parlance refers to a search of knowledge. One can also define research as a scientific and systematic search for pertinent information on a specific topic. In fact, research is an art of scientific investigation. In other words, a careful investigation or inquiry especially through search of new facts in any branch of knowledge is called research. Some people considers research as a movement from unknown to the known. Inquisitiveness is the mother of all knowledge and the method, which man employs to obtain the knowledge of whatever the unknown, is called research. Research is thus, an original contribution to the existing stock of knowledge making for its advancement. It is simply the persuit of truth with the help of study, observation, comparison and experiment.

Methodology:
Research methodology is a way to systematically solve the research problem. It may be understood as a science of studying how research is done scientifically. In it the various steps generally adopted by the researcher in studying his research problem along with the logic behind them are studied it is necessary not only for the researcher to study the research methods/techniques but also the methodology. Researcher needs to know which methods or techniques are relevant and which are not, and what they would indicate and why. Researcher also needs to understand the assumptions underlying various techniques and they need to know the criteria by which they can decide that certain techniques and procedures will be applicable to certain problems and others that will not. Research methodology has many dimensions and research methods do constitute a part of the research methodology. The methodologies used in the project are: 1) Discussions with manager and 2) Administering the structured questionnaire to collect the relevant data.

Type Of Research
This research is mainly a Descriptive or Ex post facto research. It describes the state of affairs as it exists at present and discover the causes without controlling any variables. It is a simple report of what has happened and what is happening.

Sampling Technique
Sampling technique used is simple random sampling and personal interview.

Sample Size
Sample size taken is 10

Tools Used For Data Analysis


Tools used for data analysis is Chi Square Test.

LIMITATIONS OF THE STUDY


1) 2) 3) 4) Time constraint as period of research was short. Reluctance of the respondents. Sample size was restricted to 10 only. Conclusion of the research is mainly based on the response of the respondents.

EXPECTED CONTRIBUTION FROM THE STUDY


This study will provide a brief description about the present situation of the market and will help the company to adapt better strategies for product placement.

Interpretation: - From the above graph it can be concluded that the area visited is mostly dominated by telecom companies.

Interpretation:- from the above graph we can conclude that most of the companies are into business for more than 3 years and less than 5 years, and for more than 5 years.

Interpretation:- from the above graph it can be concluded that among all the companies which were visited 50% of the companies does not have any branches.

Interpretation:-From the above graph it can be concluded that 50% of the companies are not using computers.

Interpretation:-from the above graph it can be understood that among the firms which are using computers, the customized package is the software which is used by most of the companies.
