May 23, 2012 -- Edelman, the worlds largest public relations firm, has named Amanda Goh managing director of its Singapore office, effective August 1, 2012. In this role, Goh will be responsible for overseeing the Edelman Singapore office, which employs more than 80 professionals and serves a broad range of clients from local corporate and government organizations to large MNCs offering depth in corporate reputation management, crisis, consumer brand, financial services, digital and health communications. Goh will report to Bob Grove, managing director, Edelman Southeast Asia. Im pleased to welcome Amanda back to Singapore after four successful years at Edelman New York where she led large teams and clients on multinational assignments, said Grove. Amanda is returning to an operation that has grown four-fold in seven years and leads the local PR market in revenue. Amanda is passionate about people and developing research-based insights. Her deep understanding of the Singapore market, coupled with her rich international experience, will help to elevate our team and offering even further. Goh is a 10 year Edelman veteran with more than 15 years of international experience in corporate and consumer communications. Throughout her career, she has held senior roles in Singapore, Australia, London and New York. She has led client assignments spanning Southeast Asia, Europe, Brazil and North America, with a focus on c-suite consulting, thought leadership, emerging market entry communications and B-to-B marketing. In Singapore, she previously was the head of the Corporate practice. Creating opportunities for talented people to move throughout our network has been a key to Edelmans success in Asia Pacific and around the globe. Amanda is a perfect example. She has taken on every leadership opportunity with tenacity and will make a powerful contribution to our team, said David Brain, president, Edelman Asia Pacific. For Edelman to deliver on the promise of a truly global agency with multi-local expertise, we need leaders like Amanda who can traverse the complexities and deliver on client strategy. In New York, Amanda has been a major boost to our efforts to serve as a global hub and she will remain a bridge across our network in her new leadership role, said Russell Dubner, president, Edelman New York. Edelman Singapore has a fantastic senior bench and deep expertise across six practice areas and will continue to be a global hub for us to ground our best people, thinking and insights, said Goh. I look forward to coming home and working with the teams to advance our clients business objectives in Singapore and the region.
