Objectives:

Materials:

Handouts with exercises about the topic, Showing examples in the blackboard and in the handouts , A black letter to write the correct article and find the answers in the questions,

Procedure:
Teacher should explore the meaning of Definite Article The orally and then try to demonstrate some situations using definite article, in this stage teacher should be clarify and explore Definite Article as better as he can, to be sure that all students have understood the basic things about using and understanding Definite article. The Explanation should share in two parts. In the first part, teacher should explore the using of definite articles and in which stages can we use The, as a definite article, than in the second part we should try to explore where the definite article the cannot be used in the sentence. After that, try to be more attractive to demonstrate some easy situations of using the as a definite article. This activity can be done in writing or orally. Than ask students what changes can be made or if they have anything else to add about Definite Article. Write all students suggestions in the blackboard and than see how much did they get right? What did they miss?

METHODOLOGY
Give the students the first handout. Ask them to read through sentences and in small groups set down the rules they know for the use of definite articles. The will probably mention the following: we use the definite article the when we know the person or thing referred to. After a short discussion of this creative activity, make sure that students have understood the main things about Relative Clauses. Then they should fill the first handout with the definite article or not for 5 minutes and after that we should try to find if they have done any mistake using this Activity. After that make sure that you have clarify better the kinds of things which we can use definite articles using some more examples if you understand that students dont have enough information for definite articles. The second activity will be made by using a short description by giving to the students a handout where there are about 20 sentences where the definite article the is used in correct or incorrect way. Students should try to find the incorrect ways where the definite article is used, and to correct that sentence with the correct form. This activity should take 10 to 15 minutes. And at the end of the activity we should give students some activities for homework. Students should write 10 sentences describing the town where they live and in all their sentences they should use the as definite article.
