About LBC RONDA PILIPINAS 2012 LBC Ronda Pilipinas 2012 is a 23-calendar day cycling race organized by one of the countrys leading remittance and courier company, LBC Express Inc., in collaboration with Multi Event Enterprise and PhilCycling ready to take participants through challenging but scenic courses that showcase various terrains in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. LBC Ronda Pilipinas 2012 is the second to take place after the successful 2011 LBC Ronda Pilipinas which covered more than 30 cities nationwide the race of which composed of 12 stages in 16 days. The 2012 Ronda consists of a 20-day route of 15 stages, at about 170 kilometers per stage for an estimated total distance of 2,000 kilometers, the commencement of which will start with a Team Presentation and Intro Team Time Trial (TTT) on May 23, 2012 at the Sarangani Provincial Capitol. Stage No.1 will be on the following day where participants will race from General Santos City Hall to Kiamba, Sarangani and then back to Gen. Santos City Hall.

Ronda Pilipinas and the GO GREEN Advocacy Abovementoned was Ronda Pilipinas aim which is to promote LBCs GO GREEN Advocacy: to raise awareness of and action towards environmental preservation.

LBC launched its GO GREEN advocacy in (2011) under its corporate social responsibility program. Its first project involved the switching of non-biodegradable plastic to biodegradable delivery pouches generated each year. Another was collecting and cleaning recyclable plastic waste that washes up on shores of Lian, Batangas. LBC gathers the collected plastics and then dries, melts and moulds them into shelving materials. These are then sold to LBC offices nationwide and proceeds become the regular salaries of the families. This year, LBC funded and built a recycling facility in Matuod, Batangas that can process 6,000 kilos of plastic waste a month. The plastic will be converted into brick pavers, and shelves for public schools. And not later this year, LBC will cut down on fuel emissions by converting its delivery fleet into electric power their first green motorcycle. LBC is now also expanding its Go Green initiatives to sports, with the introduction of LBC Ronda Pilipinas in 2011. The grueling bikathon has a threefold mission: the promote Love for Our Country, Uplift the Cycling Sport, and Raise Awareness and Action for the Environment.

Ronda 2012 Participants 60 pre-qualified riders from the 2011 inaugural racethe top 30 in the individual category and the top three members of the top 10 teams in team competitionand the top 36 cyclists with the least accumulated time for the two rounds during the elimination race held in Tarlac City on last March 10-11, 2012 were invited by the Ronda Pilipinas committee to join the race.
