INSTALLATION THE PRINTER OF

3. Initalling the Printer 3 . 1 Installinglocstion


lnstall the printer with attentionpaid to the following. (l) Mount the printer on a level and tough tableofstand. At this time, placethe printer so that its rubberfeet all reston the tableor stand evenly. (2) Do not install the printer at a placeexposed direct to sunlight, hot or conor taminated air_ (3) Do not connectthe printer to a receptacle usedalsofor a largemotor, cooler or other equipment which produce electrical noise. 1.2 Indicators

This greenLED indicator will light up when the power switch of the pdnter is tumed on. Ready: This is a geen LED indicator which will light up whenthe pdnter is reaoyro transfer data. It blinks if errors relatedto data transfer (buffer over flow, parity error, flamminge[or, over run eror) happen. This is a code usd to cleat the proportionalspace mode. If the printer receivesESCQ cod,the PS mode will be cleared but CSI valueis the same as one before receiving ESCP.

(3) ESCDCI (n)


The character pitch is usually changedby changing the CSI value, however, indiyidual characters have different pitches which are stored in the memory table. This code is used to increaseor decreale the table values.When a table value har been specified by ESCDCI (n) code, it will lemain unchangeduntil a new value is speci{iedby anolher ESC DCI (n) code.
