Nine arrested in subdivision for drug activity

After receiving multiple complaints about a residence in the Hawks Ridge subdivision, a gated community in north Lakeland, the Polk County Sheriffs Office Narcotics Investigation Unit, assisted by members of the PCSO Tactical Drug Unit began an investigation into possible drug activity. Neighbors had complained of heavy traffic at the residence at all hours and reported activity associated with illegal drug activity. On Wednesday, June 10, 2009, a search warrant was executed at 5532 Black Hawk Lane, and resulted in the seizure of methamphetamine, numerous items of drug paraphernalia, 4 firearms, including 3 handguns and a rifle, and evidence of a money counterfeiting operation. Arrested were: 43-year-old Warren Crowder, (DOB-06/25/1965), 5532 Black Hawk Lane. Crowder is charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. 54-year-old James Kunkle, (DOB- 08/16/1954), also of 5532 Black Hawk Lane Lakeland. Kunkle is charged with Possession of a Concealed Firearm, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Maintaining a Dwelling for Drug Use, and Possession of Counterfeit U.S. Currency. 32-year-old Fancy Brown, (DOB- 02/03/1977), 1645 West Oak Drive, Lakeland. Brown is charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. 28-year-old Justin Annis, (DOB 03/27/1981), 5532 Black Hawk Lane, Lakeland. Annis is charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. 18-year-old Chase Morton, (DOB- 09/16/1990), 3835 Duff Road Lakeland. Chase is charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. 38-year-old Thomas Huff, (DOB- 03/15/1971), 2709 Providence Road Lakeland. Huff is charged with Possession of Counterfeit U.S. Currency, and Possession of less than 20 grams of Cannabis. 22-year-old Jessica Jackman, (DOB- 02/27/1987), 2008 Sweet Fern Place Lakeland. Jackman is charged with Possession of Counterfeit U.S. Currency and Violation of Probation- Petit Theft. 36-year-old Stephen Weaver, (DOB- 04/12/1973), 3406 Leslie Road Lakeland.
