EXT. PONYVILLE We open with APPLE BLOOM running down the streets of Ponyville, passing the shops and arriving at the library INT. PONYVILLE LIBRARY SPIKE is dusting one of the many bookshelves, as APPLE BLOOM bursts in w/ saddlebag, and looks around the room. APPLE BLOOM Twilight!? SPIKE stops dusting and turns around to look at APPLE BLOOM. SPIKE Oh, hey Apple Bloom. Twilights gone. She left for Appleloosa this morning. APPLE BLOOM Appleloosa? SPIKE Yeah, something about some illness, Applejack invited the whole group, and Twilight left me behind. APPLE BLOOM Oh, right, I forgot. SPIKE Anything I can help you with? APPLE BLOOM Yeah, Im looking for a cure for the hiccups! SPIKE Um...Why? APPLE BLOOM Oh, its for Sweetie Belle! SPIKE No, I mean why do you need it? Hiccups eventually go away. APPLE BLOOM Well were also seeing if we can get medical cutie marks!

SPIKE Look, we have books on that kind of thing, but it can get a little risky. You sure its worth it? APPLE BLOOM Of course boring ol Spike would try to talk us out of it. SPIKE Hey, Im not boring! APPLE BLOOM Oh, yeah!? Whats the most exciting thing you did this week? Spike puts his claw to his chin and starts thinking. WAVY FLASHBACKY TRANSITION A repeat of APPLE BLOOM arriving at the Library. RAPID WIPE BACK SPIKE is wide eyed w/ pursed lips, he looks at APPLE BLOOM and drops his claw. SPIKE That proves nothing. APPLE BLOOM Alright, if youre not boring, prove it! Help me cure Sweetie Belles hiccups! SPIKE proudly walks to one of the shelves and pulls down a book. Flipping through the book, he lands on a page. SPIKE AHA! Found it! (shows page to APPLE BLOOM) This potion should cure the hiccups instantly. APPLE BLOOM Great! How do we make it? SPIKE (looks at book) Well, I think we have most of these ingredients! Theyre probably in the basement.

SPIKE runs to the basement, as he leaves APPLE BLOOM gets an evil smile and shortly after, follows him. INT. LIBRARY BASEMENT SPIKE and APPLE BLOOM are walking down the stairs and once they arrive at the bottom. SPIKE See if you can find the Dayshade or Femlock. SPIKE walks to one shelf and APPLE BLOOM walks to a shelf on the other side, against a wall, and suddenly gets a big smile. She grabs a bottle with her teeth. Unfortunately the shelf isnt exactly stable and begins shaking. Camera pans to the top of the shelf where we see a big canvas bag. Cut to APPLE BLOOM as she puts the bottle in her bag. APPLE BLOOM Alright, found theThe bag falls and busts open on her head, covering her in a yellow powder. SPIKE tries to suppress his laughter but fails, and falls on his back, laughing. APPLE BLOOM shakes vigorously, and gets most of it off. APPLE BLOOM I found the Dayshade... What else? SPIKE stops laughing and goes back to searching. FADE TO INT. CUTIE MARK CRUSADER CLUBHOUSE SWEETIE BELLE is sitting in one quiet corner of the clubhouse, reading a book. Every few seconds she jolts up in a hiccup, and then, quickly goes back to reading like nothing happened. Eventually APPLE BLOOM and SPIKE enter. SWEETIE BELLE Apple (hic) Bloom! Did you (hic) find it? SPIKE reaches into APPLE BLOOMs saddlebag and pulls out a book, holding it high in the air. SPIKE Hiccups cures within!

SWEETIE BELLE hiccups quite a bit as SPIKE and APPLE BLOOM watch for a few seconds. APPLE BLOOM We should get to work. SPIKE Yeah. SPIKE and APPLE BLOOM walk over to a table at the far end, and SPIKE lays down the book, and pulls a Bunsen burner and a stand out of APPLE BLOOMs bag as she pulls out a beaker and places it on the stand. She continues to pull out various bottles and boxes. When suddenly, she knocks over a bottle and begins scratching her ear vigorously. SPIKE catches the bottle before it rolls off the table. SPIKE You okay? APPLE BLOOM (stops scratching) Yeah, Im fine. SPIKE Okay, first step, we start withAPPLE BLOOM quickly puts a hoof on the book looks at SPIKE, and takes the book away. SPIKE (throws up claws) Ooookay, Apple Bloom, the honours yours. SWEETIE BELLE goes to stand next to APPLE BLOOM, as SPIKE begins to look out the window. After a few seconds. We hear a motor sound, then hoof steps come up the ramp. As SCOOTALOO enters, with her helmet on, and what looks like a quiver on her back. she takes off her helmet. SCOOTALOO Hey girls, and...Spike? What are you doing here? APPLE BLOOM I tricked him into helping us! APPLE BLOOM give a big smile and SPIKE responds with sarcastic laughter as he walks up to the table opposite SWEETIE BELLE and APPLE BLOOM.

SWEETIE BELLE OOO! (hic) Whats in the (hic) package!? Camera on ALL EXCEPT SCOOTALOO as SCOOTALOO unpacks what she got. When the camera is back on her, we see SCOOTALOO with a sword in hoof. ALL EXCEPT SCOOTALOO (O.S.) A SWORD!!!??? [SWEETIE BELLE: (hic)] SPIKE Whered you get a sword!? Do you have any idea how dangerous those things are!? APPLE BLOOM (coughs) Boring! APPLE BLOOM shakes vigorously, as we see a few dust particles fall off her, as well as a single hair, right into the beaker, the contents change colour. SWEETIE BELLE is the only one who notices. SCOOTALOO You okay Apple Bloom? APPLE BLOOM Im fine, a bag of something fell on my head, Im fine now. SWEETIE BELLE A bag of what? APPLE BLOOM shrugs as if she doesnt care. SCOOTALOO Well, its dangerous, (starts balancing the sword on her nose) but thats what makes it so cool. Suddenly, SCOOTALOO loses her balance, and the sword falls forward, heading straight for SPIKE, he quickly sidesteps, but the sword manages to catch the scales on the top of his head, slicing the top part of three of them clean off. One of the three scales falls right in the beaker. SWEETIE notices. The sword in embedded in the table.

APPLE BLOOM SPIKE!!! SCOOTALOO Im SOOO sorry!!! Are you okay!? SPIKE Im fine. (rubbing his head) SWEETIE BELLE (notices the potion starts bubbling) Uh...(hic) girls? (hic) SCOOTALOO Are you sure? SPIKE Yeah, doesnt hurt, Im fine. APPLE BLOOM What were you thinking!? Camera focuses on SWEETIE BELLE and the beaker while the conversation continues. While the potion bubbles more and more and more. SCOOTALOO (O.S.) Im really really sorry! APPLE BLOOM (O.S.) That was reckless! SWEETIE BELLE Uh...(hic) SPIKE (O.S.) Its fine Apple Bloom. APPLE BLOOM (O.S.) No its not! SWEETIE BELLE Gir-(hic) SCOOTALOO (O.S.) Im really really sorry! APPLE BLOOM (O.S.) You always do this! Put us in unnecessary danger!

SCOOTALOO (O.S.) No I dont! SWEETIE BELLE GIRLS! (hic) Everyone looks at the beaker as its bubbling up a storm. SWEETIE BELLE Its (hic) doing (hic) something. SWEETIE BELLE hiccups faster and faster. Then the beaker explodes, releasing a think cloud of smoke, and throwing ALL FOUR against the walls of the clubhouse. After a while, someone recovers. Camera is focused on APPLE BLOOMs eyes, closed, as she starts to come to, smoke still swirling around. She squints her eyes, starts moaning, and brings a claw to her face. Her eyes open in shock, the pupil shape is much different. Rapid zoom out, we see APPLE BLOOM is now a yellow dragon. She looks down. APPLE BLOOM Oh, horse apples. SWEETIE BELLE moans off-screen, and APPLE BLOOM starts crawling towards her, unbuckling her saddlebag, and letting it fall off. As she approaches SWEETIE BELLE, we see shes also a dragon. APPLE BLOOM Sweetie Belle, you okay? SWEETIE BELLE Ugh...I think so. (opens eyes, looks at APPLE BLOOM, recoils) ..um...Apple Bloom? APPLE BLOOM Yeah, I think the potion turned us into dragons. SWEETIE BELLE Us!? (looks at claw) AH! APPLE BLOOM Well fix this, dont worry. SWEETIE BELLE Okay, (looks across room) (MORE) (CONTINUED)

SWEETIE BELLE gets up and runs to the other side of the room, where we see SCOOTALOO, also a dragon, but with wings. SCOOTALOO UGH! What the!? (opens eyes) AH! ...I thought it was just supposed to cure her hiccups! SWEETIE BELLE ...Hey, my hiccups are gone! SPIKE (O.S.) What are you three...what happened!? THE CRUSADERS look at SPIKE who is now a pony. ALL THREE "DRAGONS" AHH! SPIKE Wait...dont tell me. (looks at hoof) Okay, thats not good. APPLE BLOOM Howd this happen!? SPIKE Youre asking me!? APPLE BLOOM It was a simple potion, it wasnt supposed to do this! SPIKE I dont know, maybe the ingredients were mislabeled! APPLE BLOOM From Twilights storeroom!? SWEETIE BELLE What was in that bag that fell on you? APPLE BLOOM I dont know! What difference does it make anyway!?

SWEETIE BELLE Because whatever it was, I saw some of it fall into the potion when you shook your head, as well as one of your hairs, and one of Spikes scales, and thats when it started bubbling! Everyone starts staring at SWEETIE BELLE, before they begin looking at each other. SPIKE Library! SPIKE runs off, and THE CRUSADERS follow. WIPE INT. PONYVILLE LIBRARY SPIKE is looking at one of the bookshelves, SCOOTALOO is pacing around the floor as SWEETIE BELLE sits on the table in the centre. As APPLE BLOOM arrives at the top of the stairs from the basement, with a canvas bag in hand, holding it outstretched in front of her, reading it. APPLE BLOOM Whats Chameleomum pollen? (Pronounced cha-me-le-o-mum) SPIKE (sigh, face in hoof) Theres a book on that stuff, all about transformation spells. SCOOTALOO So we shouldve known this would happen. SPIKE If I looked at the bag. SCOOTALOO Well lets find that book, it might have a cure! EVERYONE starts scanning the bookshelves, at different parts of the library. SCOOTALOO Found it!!!

SCOOTALOO (pulling book off shelf) 101 uses of Chameleomum! SPIKE Thats it! SCOOTALOO Okay, give me a second! (starts flipping though the book) Lets see, colour changing, illusions...ah! Full transformations. I think this is it! APPLE BLOOM runs up to join her friend. APPLE BLOOM Yep, looks familiar. SCOOTALOO It says the potion has no antidote, but wears off after... SCOOTALOO blows some dust off the book, SCOOTALOO and APPLE BLOOM close their eyes in response, but SWEETIE BELLE begins to reel back. Shes about to sneeze. SCOOTALOO ...A SWEETIE BELLE sneezes a pink flame, incinerating the book as SCOOTALOO is holding it. SCOOTALOO - Week. Both of SWEETIE BELLEs friends look at her, angry. She gives a guilty smile. SWEETIE BELLE Sorry? APPLE BLOOM NOW WHAT!? SPIKE Looks like were just going to have to wait for it to wear off.

CONTINUED: APPLE BLOOM Wait!? For how long!? SCOOTALOO A week, it said a week. Look, its not like we have a choice here, the book did say there was no cure. APPLE BLOOM Are you sure you read that right!? SCOOTALOO Yes, yes Im sure. SWEETIE BELLE So, were stuck as dragons for a week? SPIKE Yeah. SWEETIE BELLE ...cool! ALL OTHERS What? SWEETIE BELLE Come on! Thisll be fun! Get to see things from a new perspective. SCOOTALOO My wings work now, so thats a plus. APPLE BLOOM Really?

SCOOTALOO starts hovering a foot off the ground. The others watch her. SPIKE Well, actually, this is kinda nice. Things feel a bit softer...Miss my claws though... SWEETIE BELLE Maybe we can send letters! Teach us! SPIKE Uh, sure. Actually, I might have to.

APPLE BLOOM Well, I guess I could try to make the most of it. SPIKE Thats the spirit. Come on, we got to tell a few ponies. APPLE BLOOM I was worried about that. RAPID WIPE MONTAGE!!! A series of photos with white borders show up on screen as a catchy jingle plays. "Dragons Just Wanna Have Fun." Shots include: The DRAGON-CRUSADERS bored in the Classroom; DIAMOND TIARA and SILVER SPOON laughing at them in the yard; the Crusaders chasing after TIARA and SPOON who are running in fear while SCOOT breathes purple fire. In the Everfree Forest, APPLE BLOOM found a bunch of gemstones, holding them up in victory, SPIKE next to her, smiling, as SCOOTALOO and SWEETIE BELLE are munching on a few they found earlier in the back; the full gang in ZECORAs hut, as she looks at them; covers them in a paste; has a sad look as they leave, disappointed and still transformed. At Sweet Apple Acres, we see ALL FOUR helping with the apple harvest, holding baskets, as BIG MAC bucks; SWEETIE BELLE sneezes; BIG MAC chases after ALL FOUR with a rake. ALL FOUR help CARROT TOP with the carrot harvest; SWEETIE BELLE sneezes; CARROT TOP chasing them with a rake. SPIKE got a cutie mark, a feather duster, and shows it off with pride to the "DRAGONS", who have blank stares; they fall over themselves laughing, as SPIKE is suddenly sad. Baking at Sugarcube Corner, SPIKE SCOOTALOO breathes fire on it; In and APPLE BLOOM are trying to put bowl, when SWEETIE BELLE sneezes; Mr. Cake chases them with a rake. has a plate of muffins, the back, SWEETIE BELLE something together in a ALL FOUR are running as

ALL FOUR hanging out eating ice cream; tossing a ball around at the park; watching a meteor shower.

13. FADE THROUGH WHITE INT. PONYVILLE LIBRARY SPIKE is dusting a shelf when APPLE BLOOM walks in, frustrated. APPLE BLOOM UGH! When is this supposed to wear off!? SPIKE (places duster on floor) Later this afternoon. Why? Set something else on fire? APPLE BLOOM NO! ...Im just a bit tired. SPIKE Hungry? I think I still have a few rubies somewhere. APPLE BLOOM ...please. APPLE BLOOM smiles as SPIKE trots out of the room. SCOOTALOO and SWEETIE BELLE walk in. SWEETIE BELLE So, Zecora thinks I might just be allergic to ponies as a dragon. SCOOTALOO ...Thats weird. They stop as they notice APPLE BLOOM in the middle of the room. SWEETIE BELLE APPLE BLOOM! Are you excited!? Todays the big day! APPLE BLOOM (sarcastic) The day when things go back to normal...Excitin. SPIKE enters the room, with a small cloth bag. APPLE BLOOM takes the bag and reaches into it, grabbing a ruby, and offering some to her friends. They each take one, and begin eating.

APPLE BLOOM So, its our last few hours as dragons, what do you want to do? SWEETIE BELLE You know, Im kinda gonna miss this. I was starting to appreciate the taste of Turquoise. SCOOTALOO Yeah, and these wings work a lot better than my old ones. APPLE BLOOM I gotta admit, Ive kinda gotten used to this whole thing, Im gonna miss it too. SWEETIE BELLE Im sure Spikes excited to get back to his old body! SPIKE Actually, I kinda like this. Ive never felt the wind in my fur before, its kinda nice. SCOOTALOO Aw, we made him soft! The girls start laughing at him. SCOOTALOO So I guess we all learned something this week. SWEETIE BELLE Gems are tasty? APPLE BLOOM Keep Dragons away from orchards? SPIKE Dont play with swords? SCOOTALOO NO! Well, yes but no! No matter what happens, we can always get used to it. SWEETIE BELLE Really?

SCOOTALOO Yeah, if we can get used to this, we can get used to anything. (holds claw in air) Adaptation! FADE TO As music plays over top, we see SCOOTALOO telling a story, as the other laugh and everyone is eating ice cream. SPIKE has some ice cream on his nose, THE GIRLS are using spoons. FADE TO Music continues as we see APPLE BLOOM and SPIKE playing checkers, as SWEETIE BELLE and SCOOTALOO are watching. SWEETIE BELLE tries to give SPIKE advice, pointing to one of the board pieces. Theyre arguing slightly. FADE TO ALL FOUR are dancing to the same music thats continuing from the last scene. We can hear them laughing. When suddenly they all stop in their tracks, surprised, as a white glow encompasses each of them. When the glow dissipates, we see ALL FOUR back to normal. THE GIRLS land on their hooves, and SPIKE gets to his feet, and they all get back to dancing and laughing. PAN UP TO CEILING SCOOTALOO We should do this again. SPIKE No swords. EVERYONE laughs FADE OUT
