Tournament rules and terms of Conduct

Saudi Aramco partners are required for all Mens and Ladies Doubles Flights, except Premier Flight. Mixed Doubles Flights do not require a Saudi Aramco partner provided both players have S. Aramco partners in Mens Doubles and Ladies Doubles Flights. However, if a player will play only one event, still Saudi Aramco partner is required regardless of the event. The Junior Flight age group is from 10 years until 14th Birth Day (13 years, 11 months & 30 days) as of tournament date. If a player has won Flight 1 of Junior Mens Doubles, Ladies Doubles and/or Mixed Doubles, he/she will be promoted to the appropriate level of adult flight in the particular event regardless of his/her age. Winners and Runners-up of Saudi Aramco Invitational Tournaments and Federation Tournaments will not be allowed to play with his/her partner and/or to pair up with winners and runners-up for a minimum period as mentioned below: I. Champ. Mens Doubles Flight: Next 3 S. Aramco / Fed. Tournaments II. Champ. Mixed & Ladies Doubles Flight 1: Next 2 S. Aramco / Fed. Tournaments Promotions & Demotions: As a general rule, if a player is a winner or three times runner-up of a certain flight, he/she will not be allowed to play in the same flight and will be promoted to the next higher flight. Also, the Club Committee is empowered to elevate a runner-up at any time in any subsequent flight, if the Committee feels that he/she did not purposely exhibit his/her acquired skill in the flight played for vested interest and/or an unsporting motive. I. Due to vast difference in the skill level between the current Mens Doubles Premier and Champ. Flights, three (3) times winner or two (2) time winner and subsequently two (2) times runner-up or one (1) time winner and (4) times runnerup of Champ. Flight will be promoted to Premier Flight. II. If a player is not a participant in the last seven (7) tournaments or last two (2) years due to valid reasons and the committee feels that his/her level of play is not meeting his/her current flight level, he/she may be allowed to play in one level lower flight. A minimum of four (4) teams are required to constitute a flight and if the teams are less or one among the four (4) teams does not show up, the Seeding Committee has the power to cancel the particular flight and move the players to higher flights. Players are responsible of finding their legitimate partner. All default entries will be rejected. However, if the number of entries is few, the Committee is empowered to take the most appropriate decision without bias either by lot or skill preference.

Players should report and register at least 30 minutes before their games. Anyone who fails to report 30 minutes after the scheduled time will forfeit his or her game and entry fee along with his or her partner. In this respect, no excuse will be entertained. Once registered, a player must not leave the game premises without notifying the control desk. If a player is not found when a game is announced, he shall be considered as no-show. 9. No substitution of partners will normally be allowed after the fixtures have been distributed. However, if the opponents agree, the Tournament Committee is empowered to take appropriate decision. 10.Entry fees will conform across all major invitational tournaments within Saudi Aramco. 11.No entries will be accepted after the seeding meeting. 12.All questions in the entry form must be completed with the full name, Badge/Iqama number, and affiliation to a Club or Establishment etc. For juniors the Date of Birth must be mentioned in the entry form otherwise entry forms will not be entertained. Supporting document to prove the date of birth should be provided, if required. 13.Club representatives should make sure that all of their clubs entries are correctly filled and the right flights are selected prior to submission. Entry fees should accompany the entries. 14.All entry forms should be signed indicating that the participant has read and accepted the rules and regulations and the information furnished is relevant and true. The participant must understand that if it is proved otherwise later on, he/she will forfeit the entry fee and will be barred from participating tournaments henceforth until such a time the Club Committee makes a decision. 15.The maximum difference for a player between any events shall not exceed more than two flights. 16.Umpires will be provided for semi-finals and finals only. However umpires will be provided upon request for other matches. Linesmen will be provided for selected games only. 17.Warming up time on the court will be restricted to 3 minutes only. 18.Rest between the first and second game is not allowed. If the match goes to three games, a break of 5 minutes is allowed between the second and third games. 19.Saudi Aramco or UBC will not be held liable for any injuries sustained by any participants during the tournaments. If a player sustains an injury during a game, an injury-time of 15 minutes will be given. If at the end of 15 minutes the player is unable to continue, a walkover will be given to the opponents. 20.No food or beverages will be allowed inside the Gymnasiums. 21.Participating children who are not on a separate Iqama should carry a copy of their fathers Iqama with them when in Saudi Aramco facilities. Parents are responsible for their children while in Saudi Aramco premises. Please ensure they are kept under adult supervision at all times; do not wander around, and are well behaved at all times.

22.Non-participating children are not permitted inside the Gymnasium as well as in the school premises. The entry of Non-Aramco players and their dependants to Aramco Camp is limited to the facilities where they are to play. Please do not venture into areas other than the play areas. 23.Anyone found causing damage to Saudi Aramco property would be liable to pay for the damages. In addition, they will be debarred from the tournament and will not be welcome back. 24.Only tested shuttles will be provided for games and no further testing will be allowed before the games 25. Fixtures shall be published / distributed prior to the Tournament date. 26.The tournament committee will have the final decision in the matter of any dispute and/or in any situation, which is not mentioned herein. ----------------Last ---------------
