(Biography)

This versatile actor has tried his hand at all genres of acting and has made several forays into the worlds of music and dance. He has received various prizes for his work in different genres, such as the TP de Oro for talented young performances, which he received in 2004. Born in Madrid on July 4, 1983, his desire to become an actor was clear from an early age, and he made his acting debut at just 9 years old. Independent, hard-working and committed to the world around him, he spends what little free time his work allows him to playing football, his favorite sport. Miguel Angel Munoz is a clear example of the up-and-coming generation of new Spanish actors making their mark, and his work will leave no-one indifferent. Known in professional circles as a careful person with a strong sense of responsibility, he carries these traits over to his private life. In addition to his profession, Miguel Angel is also a keen follower of the fashion world, keeping up-to-date with the latest trends in male fashion and taking a particular interest in Spanish designers. Until now, his fashion style has been clearly defined by his roles. His style in this new stage of his professional career has matured, projecting a more sophisticated and elegant image. Sport is another of his passions, in particular football, which he plays regularly with a team of friends. In addition to the beautiful game, he also practices more extreme sports such as wakeboard. In spite of the little free time his work allows him, Miguel Angel always makes time for worthy causes. For several Christmases now he has helped raise funds for the Madrid Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and is always willing to work for charitable events, such as the concert organized for the Alzheimer Project. He also takes part in the annual Say No to Drugs football match organized by the Foundation against Drug Addiction. Having Discovered his passion for acting at very early age, Miguel Angel has worked hard to make a name for himself in the world of the performing arts. He made his debut at the age of 9 in the feature film El Palomo Cojo, directed by Jaime Arminan. This first project was the launching pad for Miguel Angels career. His television work includes series such as Mama quiero ser artista, Al salir de clase and Companeros. On the big screen, he appeared in the film Gente Pez and lent his voice to Simbad in the animated feature Simbad la leyenda de los siete Mares. The theatre has also played a key part in Miguel Angels career, with roles in plays such as Quickly and La Cenerentola. He enjoyed notable success as the narrator in the opera Bastian y Bastiana at Madrids Teatro Real. With regards to his musical career, closely linked to his time in the series Un paso adelante, he was a member (the leader) of the group UPA Dance. Recording 4 highly successful albums, the group obtained 6 platinum discs. As a solo artist he recorded the single Tu diras que estoy loco, a number one hit for 11 weeks, selling over 180,000 copies.

Miguel Angel has decided to shelve his musical career for the time being in order to focus on all aspects of the acting profession: television, cinema and the theatre. He will shortly star alongside Arturo Fernandez in the new release Desde que amanece, apetece, and plays the part of a late 15th century peasant in the Spanish blockbuster Los Borgia. However, his most ambitious project to date has been his performance in the theatrical adaptation of El cartero de Neruda which opened on December 2, in which he takes the leading role as the humble postman. From January 8, 2006, he appears on the small screen in the Antena3 television series Mis Adorables Vecinos in the role of Juan, a healthy, hard-working young man struggling to achieve his dream of being a policeman, while making a living as an aerobics teacher and working in a car tuning garage.
