One day, our school teacher announced asked for science stream students to wait after the school

assembly. The teacher gave a speech, you are the asset of the school and we believe all you can get straight As in SPM, and we, until now have educational programmes to ensure our success. But then, one thing I can see in my school, in my friends school, most of the teachers do not be committed to the other classes which are not science stream classes or in other word, the teachers are not giving the most commitment to the slow learner, the one that couldnt go on with the subjects smoothly. The reality that happening in Malaysia nowadays is teachers are not committed as a teacher should be. I assumed that teachers, especially in my school already lost their confidence to the students who had failed before this. And because of that, we can see that they, the teachers, do not teach them as their kids but instead just go, sit into the classroom and wait for the bell to ring. Yes, I am a student and I see that only science stream students are cherished as a student while others just come and go, without the touch of love from teachers. Programmes are planned and organised only for those straight A students and the weak students are ignored with their low achievements. Yes, every school wants to be the best but because of that they want more straight A students in the school but becoming the best is not actually the reason why the schools are built. It should the place for all students, either the science streams or the art streams students to learn, and explore new things for their life. SPM Is the most important exam because it is the starter for everything. Then, why differentiate students according to their stream? Why the last class cant get the same thing as the first class get? Why the world see the sciences students as the best and the others students as rubbish? Maybe this is too sentimental statement, but Malaysians, this is the truth, students are not treated all the same. Well, everything happened got its own reasons. Actually, it is not about the school, but its about the mentality of us, the Malaysians, who see those who in science stream is the best among others and we feel others is typical students with typical failure. Yes, they are weak, but the teachers still can put some effort, I mean , real effort to make them into a new person with new success. I am so disappointed to see the next generation of this country keep failing in their academic and still, there is no attention from the teachers. I already discussed this thing with several teachers and they said that, the students themselves hate to study, already gave up for academic. Well, okay then, but should the teachers follow the steps of the students? To give up in the fighting in achieving success? Students follow what their teachers do. Why should a student struggle for exam when the teachers themselves already give up and lost their belief in the weak students? Children will surely give up if their parents herself do not believe them. When teacher see the students failed, they suppose to work hard, motivate the students, committed to the students because they need they teachers more than anyone. School should be the centre of knowledge for everyone, nor only for those in sciences students because we, the arts students, the technical students, also hope for better future, we want to be in university, give something to the country, and of course, we dont want to end up like our seniors who now have no destination in their life. And because of that, we need you, teachers, we still dont see that we can be successful because no one put their trust on us because of our former failure.

I see this phenomenon becoming serious from day to day where the smart students are pampered with beliefs and motivations while the weak students are flown away with ignorance and disbelief from the teachers. I am not saying teachers not doing their job but I as a student, see this condition happening in my school and my friend experienced this as he is in the last class. He told me that most of the teachers do not enter the class, if they do enter, they just do nothing except be one of the reasons on why the students failed in the exams. All students deserved the education and we all know, the teachers cant be able to do everything because they just human, like all of us but maybe after this, for those teachers who actually be the reasons on why the students failed, maybe you can start new chapter in teaching, to be all out, struggle more for the weaker students, do believe in us, because we are also human and we need parents at school who believe in us, for us to achieve the success. Imagine all of us are your children, will you, the teachers let your children, sink into failure forever? So, I begged to all teachers in Malaysia to give more for those who need you, and please be fair because we, the weak one also human and we always seek others attention in giving us the new inspiration to make our dream be alive again. Anyway, in my school, SMK bakar arang, there is a programme, named, MAYANG, short form for there is someone who still care about you (masih ada yang sayang). This programme is actually brilliant because each students will get a teacher as their parent and this is actually what a teacher should be, the second parent for the students. A great bond will be tied up between teachers and students and this will lead to success for both, the teachers and the students. Maybe, others school should try this programme and let the teachers be the second parents for the students for a more real meaningful school time. I believe if all teacher assumes the students as their children, sincerely, no more failure will be existed in students life. Every year, when the SPM result was announced, the science streams students always be the top achievers while we just holding a piece of failure. Yes, we failed because of us, and they succeeded because of their work hard, but we cant stand by ourselves, we need you teachers and we really hope you can be our parents after this.
