Flight Preparation
Flight Release Form

Must be filled out for every flight with the correct w&b data and performance calculations.
One engine out performance For every take off the possibility of a failed engine must be considered. If solid IMC conditions prevail, an accurate escape route must be calculated to allow clearing the obstacles without visual contact and climb to MSA. For this all information must be gathered from VFR charts, aerodrome charts, approach charts for terrain data as well as aircraft POH for performance. NOTE Using the Go Around procedure as escape route is not a guarantee for safe obstacle clearance as it requires a minimun gradient of 2,5% and is calculated from a point well above the airport elevation (DH/MDH)!

Briefing EBAW operations

Training flight

Before every training flight it is mandatory to:

Call the airport tower(s) of intended destination(s) and advise them of your: call sign name of PIC (instructor) ETA intentions (e.g. T&Gs, multiple approaches, holdings,.) duration of flight intention to make a full stop or not. Call the airport navigation office and advise them of your: call sign name of PIC (instructor) ETA intentions (full stop, T&Gs, approaches,...) number of passengers on board.

Copies of the document Aanvraag verminderd trainingstarief are NOT accepted at the EBAW navigation office.
