You are the General Manager!


You are appointed as a GM of Singh textiles ltd(Delhi plants). The company owns three plants : one each at Amritsar, Ludhiana, and Delhi. The company is known for manufacturing wide varieties of cotton textiles goods a, the Delhi factory was set up in 1970. It employs 100 workers.

You take over the charge as General Manager of Delhi plants today at 11 AM. In the morning you are introduced to the officers of the company, the leaders of the recognized unions and you also visit the factory. In the afternoon you reach office at 01:00 PM and start your work. A no of important papers marked urgent come to you

Hari ram of dying sections and threaten to leave the job if his application for grant of special pay wan not conceded within 3 days. The third day expires today. He has served the company for 3 years and is known for his outstanding skill in mixture of chemicals and colors etc.

M/s Rasik Lal Jayanti lal has refused by their letter to supply certain imported textiles machines. The entire expansion plant of a section of the mill is likely to be withheld. The leader of textile Mazdoor Sangh Mr. Atma Sing has sent a request to see the GM today to present the demand of weaving mill workers. He belongs to a non recognized union.

The cotton prices have touched the lowest ebb during the last 3 month. The purchase manger has requested for permission to make bulk purchases. (In the go-down already stock for 3 month is there). Govt. has decided to subsidized the export of certain varieties of cotton textiles goods. The news has just come now. The Singh textiles is manufacturing many of these varieties.

While you are going though these papers, there is a telephone call from the MD that an urgent meeting of the GM of the three plants with MD will take place at 06:00 in office of MD in Amritsar. You have to fly at 04:15 PM
