Labor legislation refers to all laws of the govt which have been enacted to provide social and economic security to the labor or workers. The evils of industrial volition have led to the labor legislation

OBJECTIVES
To protect the workers from profit seeking exploiters To promote cordial industrial relations b/w employers and employees To perceive the interests of women & children working in the factories To ensure social justice to both employers and employees To prevent illegal strikes and lock outs

TRADE UNION Act 1926


Trade union is continuing organization of employees ,established for the purpose of protecting or improving through collective action ,the economic and social status of its members.

TRADE UNION (Amendment)Act 1947


The Indian trade union(Amendment) Act 1947 come on 20th Dec 1947 with a passing of bill ,that provide for compulsory recognition of trade unions. INDUSTRIAL DISPUTES Act 1947


It is a piece of social legislation enacted to provide for investigation and settlement of industrial disputes for certain other matters. SCOPE:This Act is applicable in all states of India .To all industrial and commercial establishments ,employires technical and nontechnical workmen.

FACTORIES Act 1948


In 1881 ,indian factories Act was passed ,which gives protection to the employees especially to the children . In year 1948 the factory Act 1934 ,was revised and its scope extended to include welfare ,health ,cleanliness ,overtime payment and similar measures. This Act was amended periodically up to 1976.
