High school juniors and seniors can earn high school and college credit simultaneously upon successful completion of each course.

Academic dual credit courses are accepted by public colleges and universities and most private & out-of-state institutions to which Navarro students transfer as part of their core curriculum. Academic dual credit courses can be applied to: n A.A. Degree (Associate of Arts) n A.S. Degree (Associate of Science) n A.A.T. Degree (Associate of Arts in Teaching) n B.A. Degree (Bachelor of Arts) n B.S. Degree (Bachelor of Science)

What academic courses can be offered as dual credit?

American History I & II Anatomy & Physiology British Literature I & II Composition & Rhetoric I & II College Algebra, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Statistics Calculus I & II with Analytical Geometry Economics General Biology I & II Geology Government Physical Science Speech Classes will vary by high school.

Testing Requirements
Testing Temporary Waiver:
10th Grade TAKS scores ELA 2200 w/3 sub score and Math 2200

Testing Exemption:
11th Grade TAKS scores ELA 2200 w/3 sub score and Math 2200 (or) ACT Composite score of 23 w/minimum 19 in English & Math (or) SAT Combined critical reading & math score of 1070 w/minimum of 500 in both sections (or) A required state-approved placement test.
Placement tests are offered at all Navarro College campuses.
