What is team
A team is a group of individuals, all working together for a common purpose. The individuals comprising a team ideally should have common goals, common objectives and more or less think on the same lines.

Types of team
1. Problem-solving team 2. Functional teams 3. Cross-functional teams 4. Self-directed work teams

Team infosys
The idea of Infosys was born on a morning in January 1981. That fateful day, N R Narayana Murthy and six software engineers sat in his apartment debating how they could create a company. Six months later, Infosys was registered as a private limited company on July 2, 1981. Infosys co-founder N S Raghavan's house in Matunga, northcentral Mumbai, was its registered office. It was then known as Infosys Consultants Pvt Ltd.

1.Nandan Nilekani

Nandan Manohar Nilekani was born in 1955 in the town of Sirsi in Uttara Kannada district of Karnataka. His parents are Durga and Mohan Rao Nilekani. His father worked as a General Manager of Mysore and Minerva Mills and subscribed to Fabian Socialist ideals that influenced Nilekani in his early years.

Kris Gopalakrishnan was Trivandrum on April 5, 1956.

Kris obtained M.Sc. (Physics) in 1977 and M. Tech. (Computer Science) in 1979, both from IIT, Madras. He started his career as a software engineer with Patni Computers, Mumbai in 1979.

3.N R Narayana Murthy

N. R. Narayana Murthy Born in Mysore, Karnataka on 20 August 1946, Murthy graduated with a degree in electrical engineering from the National Institute of Engineering, University of Mysore in 1967. He held the executive position of Chairman of the Board from 2002 to 2006, when he became the "non-executive" Chairman of the Board and Chief Mentor.

4.K Dinesh

Mr. K. Dinesh is a Co-founder of Infosys Ltd. and served as its Head of Information Systems, Quality and Productivity since 1996.

Mr. Dinesh served as the Head of Communication Design Group at Infosys Ltd. Mr. Dinesh served as Head of Human Resources Development, Education and Research of Infosys Ltd.

5.N S Raghavan

Nadathur Sarangapani Raghavan is an Indian industrialist, and one of the seven founders of Infosys Technologies,a global consulting and IT services company based in India. The company was incorporated as "Infosys Consultants Pvt Ltd."

6.S D Shibulal.

Shibulal, born in Alleppey in 1955, was the only child of his parents. In an interview, he was quoted in reference to his early childhood life - "I was the only child, and my parents were really keen that I stay at home and take up a teaching job. His father, Damodaran, was an ayurvedic doctor; and mother, Sarojini, a state excise department employee.

kris Gopalakrishnan
Kris is currently the Chairman of the International Institute of Information Technology,Bangalore. He is Vice Chairman of the Board for Information Technology Education Standards (BITES) set up by the Government of Karnataka. Kris is the Vice President of the CII National Council. He is also a member of ACM, IEEE and IEEE Computer Society.

Nandan Nilekani
Nandan Nilekani was the co founder of NASSCOM and of the Bangalore chapter of TIE (The Indus Entrepreneurs) With a personal worth of USD 1.3 billion, he was named one of the top 100 influential people in the world by TIME magazine He was among the youngest invitees among the top 20 global leaders at the 2006 World Economic forum

When they began moving ahead with Infosys, the founders Murthy, Nilekani, Shibulal and the others took a firm decision that their wives would not be involved in the running of the company.

The first years of Infosys were not smooth. Most of the founders-Murthy, Nilekani, Dinesh,Shibulal and Gopalkrishnanwere into writing codes.And they wanted to make an impact in the American market.
